Not sure if any of you will remember Tabetha but I posted a picture of her at 8 weeks old and wanted to give an update. She is just over 16 weeks now and a real joy to have around.

 

She is my first whippet and the friendliest dog I have ever known (obviously I haven't known many whippets!!). She loves all the people and dogs we have met and adores being the centre of attention. No wonder whippets are so addictive :wub:

More pics to follow, I do have some that aren't just her head!

I called her Tabetha for a few reasons. I think it means 'gazelle', which is perfect for a whippet! I call her Tabby for short because her markings remind me of a tabby cat. Also, my surname is Tabberer and I thought Tabetha Tabberer sounded really funny!

She really suits her name as she runs around the house at 50mph and bounces through the long grass like bambi

Hehehe lots of people think it's a cats name but I think it suits her. As soon as I saw her it popped into my head, I googled it when I got home and apparently it means 'gazelle', not a bad choice for a speedy little whippet

She's beautiful! What lovely markings. She's going to just get more and more beautiful as time goes on ^_^ . I love her name too... it's really feminine and rather apt given it's meaning!
