Errr..... no Dan, it has been cancelled again. It cannot be run if people won't go, and that was the outcome of the poll today. Pedigree racers want to race with pedigree dogs, and people don't want the Champs...... (in its present form). There will be a Championships held still, so there will be somewhere to send your entry, but details have to be finalised yet. It will be announced on K9 as soon as possible, and club secretaires will be informed also :thumbsup:

oh cool, i watch this space then, i think i kinda get whats going on now!!! Was quite intresting listening to the line judges today LOL :p

EVERYTHING has been repeatedly done for all of the doubters ...Its gone across the board from KC, WC and WCRA .... The dna testing again and again .. Just all go and grow up and get a life ... Its a few dogs running up a bloody field for a bit of plastic ....Julia could do no more for you lot to prove these are pedigree ... its amazing how a few can blow things out of proportion ..... and the rest of you jump on the wagon ... Hey lets get a grip ... these dogs are fast as was their mother, father, aunts, uncles etc ... they just atren't dragged round the circit so most of you didn't see them ... You lot shouting the loudest are happy enough when your dogs win week in and week out ... So opps some have now got compertition .. Get a grip .... Waiting for my warn to be upped again as I seem to be the only person who can't mention Julias litter ... Hey ho ... see you all at the next champs ..

Sounds like you won't be seeing us at the next Champs Hannah - thanks to your 'friends' it has been cancelled again

Could it be that the Champs have been cancelled because the organisers don`t want a repeat of the appalling behaviour that occured when Julia and her litter last raced?

I presume the helpers and organisers are all unpaid volunteers who worked long and hard only to have their event spoiled by unsporting bahviour.

No wonder nobody else wants to run one when it seems likely that it will happen again.

Roll on the day when the folks who have got it in for Julia, and their hangers-on, take themselves off to another organisation.

Perhaps then the fair minded people will be able to run their dogs in Peace.

Prejudice, gossip,malice and false witness must not be allowed to Rule the Roost in any hobby or society in general.

Here endeth the lesson.

As you have asked the question Gavin " no it is not cancelled due to any past occurance". the WCRA are still standing by an agreement made by all whom attended the last extraordinary meeting that they held that further investigations are made and the said litter refrain from racing untill all new evidence is available for them.The fact that others feel the need to over rule them and indeed have done so is where the problem lays, thier perpetual interference in a sport the have no desire or interest nor understanding in whilst ignoring the vast majority of racing people( whom, unlike yourself attend all the Opens and Champs they can afford to). Alot attend knowing thier Whippets are going to race against some alot faster then thier own, but part of the sport is partaking and seeing friends made through the racing ( just as you do each meeting at your club). .Here endeth reality. Stick to what you know Gavin......................Cat breeding and club racing

I think you will find there are plenty of folk wanting to run a Championship, and plenty wanting to attend - but not when certain dogs are running. There's no getting away from it Gavin - this sorry affair has been the downfall of the WCRA who cannot agree with Whippet Club - afterall 11 clubs voted to ban these dogs, and the WCRA have their affiliation money, so are answerable to them :D

Put up or shut up!

Having brought up other peoples` children for 25 years I know something of the difference between right and wrong. Just because a lot of people believe something to be true that doesn`t make them right in their assumption.It just means there`s a lot of them!

So blame the muck-stirrers who started the campaign.

All they have to do is to withdraw their allegations and then everything can go ahead as normal.

I also know about playground bullies.

They tend to be small, or ugly, or stupid or inadequate in some other way. They hope that by picking on others that nobody will notice the bully`s own failings. And their own feelings of lack of self worth

are temporaraily overcome because they have subjugated a victim. That works well for a time and then the bully needs another boost to his/her ego and they start on somebody else.

So perhaps the bullies need expelling from the sport to make it pleasant again for the folks who just like to run their dogs and test them against those from other clubs in a spirit of cheerful sportsmanship.

Sorry Gavin I stand corrected . Stick to cat breeding club racing and.......child rearing!!!. Ever heard of a democratic vote? you will find it is quite widley used in our country for voting things on-off etc very usefull, it means no-one has to "put up"with situations. I have also had children , my own buisness my own home blah blah blah -_- . Do you know Gavin, its so obvious that you don't go open racing, as you haven't a clue about the current situation. Posts like your are just making you look silly. I was going to quote one of your previous posts when you told everyone to 'put up or shut up' - I think the time has come to take a bit of your own advice :D

I think as the subject of the litter in question is now over in the pedigree racing world, we would all like to forget it ever happened and get on with racing our dogs. So it's probably best to close this thread, and get on with what we do best - racing the beautiful creatures called the whippets!
