I know you're right, Nicky

You will know when the time comes.

I lost my dear old cat to congestive heart failure many years ago but she had got to the stage where she couldn't eat and just sat snuffling over the water bowl (instinct drives them to try and drink to stay alive). I had arranged for my vet to call one morning to help Coochie on her way but that night she died in her sleep. I have never got over the feeling of guilt that I waited too long and I should have called the vet much earlier :(

Poppy is still eating and moving around :) - she isn't ready yet, hun

Much love coming your way from all of us here xxxxxxxxxxx

glad pops feels a little better today :huggles: ,shes not ready to leave you yet bless her ,nice to hear shes had a good day today :huggles:

Thinking of you lots Nicky, it must be a really tough time for you. It sounds as though you are coping brilliantly and giving Poppy everything she needs. You will know when the time has come, and it must be lovely to have a little more quality time with your beloved Poppy while she is still enjoying life. :huggles: :huggles: :huggles:

this is such good news Nicky keep it up.

poppy is just such a loveley girl so pleased she has had a good day.

I am sitting here in the same position as you ( although my girl is older ) and I don't think for one minute you are wrong . A dog who has a mooch around the garden and eats some boiled ham still has some quality of life and while she has that she has something :(

Best wishes to Poppy and you .

As people have said earlier, you will know when you need to make the hardest decision, in the meantime please know that so many people are thinking of both you and Poppy and praying for you both, when the time comes you will know that you gave her so much love and care

All my love

Gaynor

Nicky I am so proud of you hun... we fought for weeks to make sure Jacques was pain free even with the vet in the end giving us the equipment to inject him ourselves at home... that extra 4 weeks he was up some day and down the others... but he knew when he wanted to go and we left nature take its course as along as he wasn't in any pain... bless him.

Give her the big hug from us and also for you too.. you are doing a wonderful job and I am so glad to hear she is feeling brighter today :huggles:

xxxxx
