sorry your lad is poorly-what advice has been given to the family please? carry on as normal? or keep your distance as much as possible? Is it airborne or transferred by touch?

sorry for all questions-just loads of cases being reported around where i live too-

karen

It is passed by air and touch - hence the ads about frequent hand washing. If you have flu like symptoms (sore throat, bad cough, temperature, sickness, runs, aches etc) DO NOT go to your doctors surgery. The advice is to ring the NHS helpline no (who will probably tell you to ring your doctor) or ring the swine flu helpline (a recorded message telling you to ring your doctor if you have symptoms  ) if your docs think there is a possibility of swine flu they will issue a prescription. Where I live they are then faxing the script through to a local sports centre where Tamiflu is being handed out to flu friends who must have 2 forms of ID for themselves and 2 for the person they are collecting the medicine for. The sick person should remain in quarantine for 5 - 7 days, rest and drink plenty of fluids.

How is he doing trac? Does it look like he will make the last day of school?
