2009 Oz & Nz Show Results

Big Congratualtions to Jo Kramer who piloted our co-owned nine month old Rush, Taejaan Caught In The Act to Best Puppy In Gp today at General Specials Melbourne Royal. Rush also made the cut for BIG.

Sorry I couldn't be there to cheer them both on . I have been in bed all week with the flu. Thanks also to Robyne Specncer for her support and for keeping us in touch live via mobile phone.

It doesn't get any better than this.

Woohoo Joey and Rush. What a great team we make.

Only 3 whippets entered out of a hound entry of 92 and a show entry of just over 700. Was a great win for Gabby who spends most of her days on the couch and hasn't been to a show since the WCQ specialty show in February. Thanks to John and Angela for sending us this beautiful girl 8 years ago.

 CONGRATULATIONS!!

What a clever little girl Gabby is!! You know my thoughts on Gabby after seeing her last year at the specialty and making a mad dash for the catalogue to find out her breeding  So pleased for you Gajo!!

It's late and I'm very tired so I'm going to quickly put on some results for the weekend in Ingham - we had International judges for the two shows - it was a 23 point BOB both days

Sat - Mr J Mendiola (Phillippines)

CC Dog BOB Gr Ch Swifthund Pistols at Dawn

Res CC RUBOB ABIG ABIS Gr Ch Aslan That's Amore

CC Bitch Ch Phoenway Blue Anjil

Res CC Birrarun Licorice Twist

Cristina's Cheshunt Creme Tequila was 1st in a class of 4 and went on to get her class in group. Apparently whippets won nearly every class in the group - I wasn't watching closely enough so I'm not going to guess at who they all were

Sunday Mr O Germundssen (Sweden)

CC dog (and RUBOB?) Shenace All in at Hogarth (Imp UK)

RC Gr Ch Swifthund Pistols at Dawn

CC bitch BOB Ch Phoenway Blue Anjil

Thanks for posting Lana,

You must of been very tired, nice to know you made it home safely - again Congratulations on your wins over the weekend, good on ya

Just one little correction - Ashton (Shenace All In At Hogarth) is from NZ not the UK, very nice win for the boy on Sunday.

Although all my joy from the Sunday win was put on hold as I was constantly reminded how I forgot to have the Afghan baby ready to go in the ring for baby in group all the way home :b

Very proud of young Tequila with winning her class and then getting Intermediate In Group, so glad we were on at night time Saturday as all the dogs felt the heat on Sunday even the normally full of beans Tequila, she felt very flat and came 2nd in her class.

I'll sit down with the catalogue latter and work out all the results but will mainly be from memory.

See ya soon

Cristina

Yeah!!! What they said!! Did that luck fairy fly to NZ?? :-

Yep she is a bit slack on it isn't she!!! ;)

I was going to post results the other day when I got them but thought nah... she can do her own dirty work!!

yep that Skyeway Fairy dust did work!!! ;) ;) ;) ;)

We are back & in desperate need of some -_- -_-

Last Wednesday we toddled down the country to the NZ National Dog Shows, our biggest shows in the country & did we have fun :D I see my friends Hank & Tony have started a thread with the full results for the Nationals ;) so here we go with our wee brag....

"Sage" - NZ CH Skyeway Want Ya Back At Shenace (Imp Aust) brought home the ribbons BIG TIME!

1st Show: National Curtain Raiser - Sage BOB under Linda Stevens (Aust) then we had to go over to Rick Baker (Aust) for Group judging and was thrilled to win Runner Up Best Of Group & Best Intermediate Of Group, then back to Linda Stevens for Group Specials to win Best Intermediate In Show :D

2nd Show: National Dog Show - Sagey again wins BOB under Ann Ingram (Ireland) which is a massive thrill in itself and then she pulled out the big one & won BEST OF GROUP (w00t) (w00t) Such a thrill & was well supported by her many fans  However, the day wasn't over, we then went thru to Dr Eugene Yurusalimsky (Russia) and whilst my very good friends won BIS with their stunning St Bernard, we were very thrilled to win BEST INTERMEDIATE IN SHOW

Still on cloud nine, we had the best time! Only home late last night, came thru a snow storm on the way home, very pretty but FREEZING. Sage gets out of the trailer last night, zooms up the driveway, leaps the fence & shares her wins with her 4 legged wooly friends (sheep) by rounding them up  That's my farm girl

Big congrat's to Jon (Cartman) & Annabel Gunn - Skyeway Kennels for a successful couple of weeks with either Skyeway grandkids & kids at the big shows ;) That fairy had to get thru a few storms to get here, but she made it - yay (w00t)

Ooopsss... forgot to add that Master Kobilicious won his 2nd Challenge Certificate

Congrat's Lana & Cristina on your wins too - way to go Master Ashton picking up some more points for his Aussie title ;)
