My uncle who some of you older racers will remember Brian Cooper passed away this morning after a short illness.

This is my grandad (L) & him ® a few years ago at one of our opens.

The last time me & Mark saw him was not long after Cara won Sup at this years straight champs and he was admiring the trophies & jacket, it's lovely that the last time we met was a happy memorable occasion and i will always remember that. He loved to hear how all the dogs were doing and came round to my grandads many times to watch the latest DVD of their races.

Hopefully Bess (Little Mary) will be there to greet him :huggles:

RIP Brian xx

Sorry to hear this Vicky :( R.I.P Brian

so sorry to hear the sad news of Brian a very dear friend of mine we had some really good races between Little Mary and Vivs Pet at 150 I usually won over that she did but at the end of each race whoever won we had a hand shake and a drink in the pub I remember when I was in hospital years ago after an attack and losing my eye The old Blidworth club hired a bus to take me and Judy to Sedgebrooke for the Meld trophy for bitches the forerunner to the champs this was over 200yds Brian was there and Little Mary was beaten so to help Brian stood at the line and shouted her on in the final Eric who put her in the traps let her go and she was running around for ages looking for Don no doubt but brian caught her we had only a little rest she won the final during the racing Brian made a collection from the folk and everyone that won that day gave the winnings to the collection that was what racing was about on the way home the bus stopped at the hospital and the whole bus shouted and held the trophy up for Don to see a lovely gesture from a lovely bunch of lads while Don was in hospital Eric Bradford and Douggy Ashfield (maid marion) came and walked the dog for me every day Friends indeed that was what racing was all about

R i P brian you will be able to have some races with little mary and vivs pet
