    Dentastix

My dogs love a chilled carrot. I was told this was also good at cleaning their teeth. Although it doesn’t remove plaque it does take any food that’s stick to their teeth. I do give the odd dentastick but my dogs don’t seem too enthusiastic about them.

Tucking your dog in at night.

Just out of interest, how many of you cover your dogs and tuck them in at bed time? Every dog I have owned have all loved to be covered with a blanket. When people discover this, they imply that I’m either crackers or too soft. ( usually people who don’t have dogs.)

My little Dachshund has bladder cancer :(

So sorry to read this! I also have a dachshund called Lottie she’s only 6 but I dread the time when I am without her. We lost a whippet to lukemia last year, the disease was very advanced when he was diagnosed .. I used to look at him asleep on the sofa and convince myself that they had mad a...

    Sickness and lethargy after worming

There was no information at all in the box. It was prescribed through my vet via the healthy pet club. I was surprised myself that there was no information leaflet.

    Sickness and lethargy after worming

Hi everyone I wormed my 13 week old pup this morning as advise by my vet to wait 2 weeks after his flea treatment. He passed a large live worm (about 5 inches) in his poo and has since been sick. He seems lethargic.. still eating and drinking but his stomach is making really loud rumbling...

    Growling puppy.

I knew exactly where he had gone wrong and told him so at the time. I know he won’t do it again. I don’t know what he was thinking .. stupid thing to do.

    Growling puppy.

Last night my puppy (12 weeks) growled and snapped at my OH. To be fair Otto was was in a deep sleep in his bed and was picked up suddenly to go out for bedtime toilet.. I’m sure we would all do the same! It has worried me a little though as I’ve never had an aggressive dog in all the years I...

    Road trips

when we brought our puppy home only 10 days ago, he was so relaxed and sleeping in the car. Our first trip out today since, he was totally different. He was crying and stressed. It was dark though and thought this maybe the reason. I know once he realises that cars mean nice walks and days out...

    Sleeping with new puppy

We put the crate in our bedroom. It is only closed on a night time and we leave it open during the day. We never use it as punishment, as to him it is his little safe haven. If he has anything he knows that he shouldn’t have he runs straight in his crate with it It’s personal choice but it...
