When can my 4 month old Kelpie be outside safely?

Hi Owen, That’s so exciting you are getting a pup! Kelpies are so gorgeous! I’m currently studying vet med so I can give you some “advice” but as always, ask the vet who administered the vaccine if you aren’t sure. The general recommendation is that you can allow your pup to be out and about...

7 month puppy jumping and biting on walks

Hi everyone, I just wanted to pop on here to give an update on Otis. We have seen a massive improvement and his tantrums are now a very rare behaviour which is amazing. I wanted to mention some of the things that have contributed to this in case anyone is struggling with the same thing. One of...

7 month puppy jumping and biting on walks

Let me know how you get on! We were deliberating getting a head collar but most places say it shouldn’t be used for under nine months (although I'm always unsure how strict this is)

7 month puppy jumping and biting on walks

He’s mainly greyhound, with beagle, staffy, foxhound and multiple other hounds. We feed him orijen large puppy kibble, plus a couple of pumps of salmon oil, some chicken broth and a little bit of puppy meat to make it more tasty

7 month puppy jumping and biting on walks

Hi everyone, We have a seven month old lurcher puppy who is absolutely great. However, we are experiencing a major problem with his behaviour whenever he is outside (walk, garden, or going to the toilet). It has been happening for about 3 months now and we do have a trainer but we aren't seeing...

    Harness Recomendations for Lurcher

We ended up getting a perfect fit harness and we love it! I recommend emailing over your dogs measurements and pictures and they are so so helpful!

    Harness Recomendations for Lurcher

Oh absolutely. To us, our dog is our own unique breed and that’s what makes him so amazing. Mongrel, mutt, lurcher, it doesn’t matter. To us, he’s just Otis. I just felt the comment came across a little unnecessary as his overall physique is that of a lurcher cross. We use the harness on long...

    Harness Recomendations for Lurcher

Thanks for your suggestion, we have used the thick collars but he does better on the harness as it eliminates pulling on the throat. Our dog is classed as a lurcher cross by the rescue charity and our vet. A lurcher cross is defined as a sight hound crossed with another breed. He is 80% sight...

    Harness Recomendations for Lurcher

Hi everyone, Our six month old lurcher puppy needs a new harness. The problem we are having is that he has slightly odd body proportions due to his mix (mainly a greyhound x beagle x foxhound + many other breeds) and his current harness fits in some areas but not others. Due to him being a...

    Please help with separation anxiety

Thank you guys, I really appreciate your advice. It's so hard because we just want to do what is best for him. I guess what we want to avoid is him becoming to dependent on us, would giving him constant attention not encourage this? We are using short-term and long-term confinement while he is...

    Please help with separation anxiety

Hi everyone, we picked up our puppy last Wednesday so we’ve had him for under a week. We knew leaving him (not for long or even us leaving the house of course) would be challenging but we aren’t seeing any change with the wee guy. We can’t even leave his sight without him howling and even if...
