You really appear to think that 'everyone' is out to block you and your dog. There is no 'everyone' !! We are all out to find somewhere and enter competitions just like you! Perhaps all of our dogs pedigrees aren't good enough either. :clown:

I think its fair to say that there are unfortunately no doors to open (in Scotland) in the first place.
As I mentioned previously, if you have the equipment and a safe area to run then why not invite people along?

The event in Holyrood Park was organised and run entirely by the ranger service, not a coursing or racing club.

Thanks to everyone who came along to help, support and take part in the only Scottish annual lure coursing competion.
Apart from a couple of technical faults with the lure at the start of the day, it was a great success.....and the sun even shone!

Although a friends dog died from choking on a golf ball that went straight down his throat when he caught it a speed. They couldnt get it out in time. He choked to death in the park. So the photo of the blue dog and fawn dog catching a golf ball makes me shiver.

I see the wheel/drum is a quite a bit of the ground and doesnt have a ground based ring to guide the line. How well does the line wind up (without coming off the wheel/drum)?
