    Hi lurcherman, sorry for your loss, not really sure how long, but he is still eating, drinking enjoying walks, so taking each day at a time. In fact currently wouldn't know anything wrong,other than slowed down a bit and drinking lots.

    Yes we have a memory foam, just about to order another, as I bought it for my oldie and other one keeps going on it.

    Hi, so sorry you are going through this, it is the hardest thing knowing when the right time is, and like juliatee, I will be facing this decision myself, so fully empathise with you, as long as you think she still has quality of life and not in pain, then just continue as you are.     Advice on exercising an older dog

    Hi juliatee, hope are you, I have now had to limit brackens walks he is 15, although he would still walk longer, he doesn't realise he is ill, but I was finding after longer walks he would drink so much then be sick. So limited to 3 smaller walks now.

    Hi all, I have just joined group and owned by 2 Labradors, bracken 15 and ben 6 in December. Bracken has just been diagnosed with kidney failure, although currently eating and still enjoying his walks.

    Hi, sorry to hear about your dog, I am also in similar situation with my 15 year old Labrador, he just been diagnosed with kidney failure, although he is still eating well, enjoying his walks, etc, so like you I am happy for him to continue like this. I am trusting that our dogs will let us know...
