The Southern Region held an additional BWRA meeting today when a new Chairman and President were voted in. The Committee is now as follows :- Chairman Jimmy Watson, President Bill Hopkins, Vice President John Stayte, Secretary Sheila Webb and Treasurer Pat Stayte.

The clubs opens for 2007 which have been agreed by the Whippet News are to be found on the clubs web site.

Being as I seemed to be iognored when I kindly asked for things to be bumped up I thought I'd better put this posting back at the top for at least another day so that any member wishing to know about the Southern AGM see's it.

There is another aspect to the clubs survival Sharon apart from workers and that is if the main bodies are allowed to ride rough shot over clubs regarding open dates that is our clubs bone of contention, although we have some real good club members I personally am not prepared to keep fighting...

I agree with you 100% Chris about supporting the BWRA Committee and it's a pity some of the people at the meeting did not try to do just that, instead of trying to disrupt them and that is exactly why after travelling the distance I did to support the Committee and my region I left the meeting...
