We weren't judging anybody just sharing experiences...you would be suprised what pups end up in rescue because the owner has not thought it through and given the correct food ...exercise
I think we expect too much too soon with puppies and people dont often research the breed of the pup they buy.. ...wether you can offer that breed what it actually needs..years ago I wanted a briard when I went to see the breeder she asked me a list of questions and said at that time my life...
I just wondered have people forgotten how we coped before crates ...they can be a fantastic tool but I also think they can be misused and make people lazy thinking it can train /house train their pups ...it makes me so sad but I have begun to hate crates ....😳☹☹
Aw that explains alot ..my neighbours have always had springers .decided on one this time from working stock and she was in a state for the first 6 months ....he is a lovely pup unless they are entertained they are high maintenance especially if an only dog ...🤗
They are much better that the normal ones especially for sighthounds...they are fleece made much more comfortable and they walk perfectly with them ...
I wonder why she kept her for 7 months before selling her ...
I would keep everything quiet and wouldnt even take her out until she feels settled...if she has always lived with other dogs she must be feeling overwhelmed being an only dog....as others have said if you really feel she is too much...
The puppy kibble maybe too high in protein for him sighthound mixes do better on a lower protein and at his age he could go on normal food ...we always made sure our lurchers protein was below 19% it makes a huge difference in behaviour...he has alot of working breeds in his mix ...have you...
