Just to add to that very good advice - don't lock her in the crate. If you did, it would then become a huge stressor and it needs to be her Safe Place.
While she will improve with her anxiety in her own time, she will never morph into anything other than full-on full-time wants to meet everyone...

We found an electric (battery operated) flea comb, which is very satisfying to use and non-toxic. Probably wouldn't work on a long-coated dog but brilliant on our rough-coated lurchers and thick-coated terriers. Dogs would lie on their backs and enjoy the grooming.
Do you know what happens in the tie? If not, research it (probably not family friendly so I'm not giving details). The bitch bolted in the tie and ripped the dog's guts beyond repair. Some bitches have been known to savage dogs too.
