Pit bulls are very common here (US), most are rescues, some are super sweet, playful with humans and dogs, 3 of Miles' favorite playmates in the woods are pit bull girls. Others are quite scary.
With Baby Miles, sometimes observing the interactions I suspect that poor treat holders feel that their choices are limited.... either give up some of your your treats voluntarily, or the beast will take the whole bag. Some try to turn around and even attempt to walk away, only to find him again...
That positive reinforcement is a very effective approach to many things - influencing coworkers, raising children...
And that tomorrow is promised to no one, every day is precious and needs to have some love and joy.
If you can’t easily change place where you walk so you can avoid other dogs - perhaps you can change time? When I had to avoid dogs with our first dog for a while - I found that at 5 AM most places are quite empty....
My 2 cents - I would sleep on the sofa downstairs for a bit.
Quicker and easier to grab her and run out in the middle of the night this way. Plus - I would imagine she uses the crate during the day too, so this avoids carrying the crate up and down...
LOL
I don’t even know :-)
Between wading in the river and 10 min drive back - he was clean as new by the time we got home. I expected firestorm from my dearest wife, but the only complain I got was not washing the harness :D

On the other hand - photo opportunities quickly turn into love and kissing sessions :D
Anyway, here is the monster photo update. 19 months old.
He is always hungry - but aren’t they all? :-)
I think the problem might be that he goes crazy when the refrigerator door is open, which is a training issue, not a matter of food amount. If he looks fine and has energy - you are feeding him enough.
With that, the training task is just to develop...
I think 1 hr a day is very low... but I also think that given a choice between more walking and having a medium or larger size ball of energy bouncing off the walls inside the house - humans will find a way to walk more :-)
I can’t suggest a breed which would be happy with 1 hour a day, but a...
Lovely pup! What a face :-)
They are quite popular here, and while I have no idea what’s considered normal or large or small, I can say that in my experience they vary greatly in size.
Great looking puppy, enjoy!
While there certainly are instances of racism, I would disagree with generalizations like “all white people are privileged”, while “all black people are oppressed”. Some are. Many are not. On both sides.
I would also disagree with picking some of the recent victims and making them into national...
