Inka do these BYT work the same with grass eating? Is that a reason for this behaviour too? When I take Roxy in the garden/out for walks she spends a lot of time eating grass like a horse
Thanks JudyN and Inka.
I think for now I'll keep her on the adult one then and if she shows any stiffness or pain I'll change her onto plus.
Yes Inka she has a few minutes to mooch around the garden first before she'll concentrate on anything else (usually involving some sniffing and grass...
Hi all,
Just a quick question, Roxy is on Yumove and has been for just over a year (she's just turned 10). She doesn't show any signs of pain or stiffness, it's just preventative as I started doing jumping with her and thought she'd benefit from the extra support. She's also on Golden Paste. My...
That Goldie story is shocking, those owners are awful for standing back and letting it all happen, it's like they're proud of it :mad:
I agree with @JoanneF - it can happen in any breed, and can have many underlying causes - like the Goldie story proves, owners a lot of the time are the issue.
Yes definitely, I bet he enjoyed.
Aah okay, always handy to know. Good point, you'd look a bit funny testing the pavement all the time
I always think it's a shame that Roxy doesn't like water, a dip in the sea/river would be good for cooling off.
there are cooling coats of course but not...
Wow what an awful thing to witness, well done for your quick thinking and you did what you had to do to get the dog off that poor child. Do you know if he/she's okay?
It's mad some of the things that happen, I've always thought there must be a reason for attacks but I've heard a few stories...
I'm interested in knowing more about this too, it's not always convenient to go early morning or later in the evening.
Sounds like a nice gentle stroll to me, as long as you take water with you and take breaks it's okay right? Think paw pads are quite protective against hot/cold but I've read...
Thank you all for your supportive comments, they've made me feel a lot better.
I still have not heard from her, I said no, then she basically said the stuff about us being too careful and also some nasty things that I don't want to get into and had the cheek to ask again after saying those...
Thank you for your replies.
excuseme - Glad to know we are not the only ones wiping shopping packages, post etc (forgot that part)! Exactly you're doing all the right things to protect yourselves.
JudyN - I did consider it before it was pointed out to me that people shouldn't go into other's...
Hi all,
So Covid has been a right nightmare as I'm sure you all know and I hope you're all staying safe and well. Our household has been cleaning all our shopping (which we have delivered), haven't been anywhere other than work, the petrol station, to the vets for my dog's booster and to take...
Hey everyone,
ive been using non-stinky stuff oil for my dogs itchy skin for almost a year now (in food every night and weekly baths with it) and was wondering if there were any cheaper alternatives does anyone know? Because i was unsure if it was doing anything but after stopping it to see how...
Hi, thanks for that. Unfortunately this has been on the back burner for a while but I'm ordering other stuff for her so will order some sort of heart supplement soon! Im also in wales! At least it was only for two weeks though :)
My dog used to hate having her nails done it was a nightmare. She now doesn't mind at all as long as there are treats involved! i decided to just slow the whole process down and started off just doing one or two at a time giving praise and treat after each nail and doing more a few hours later...
I agree that you should maybe keep things simple but perhaps it would be worth giving him yumove senior. I have a 9 year old and recently started her on yumove to try and help her through old age, and they look like tablets but made tasty so she thinks she's just getting a treat which makes it...
Oh wow, that's amazing that hawthorn had such a positive effect on you. I can't say that I'll go down the route of growing and picking it myself though, not much of a gardener! I will have a look though and see what is available for dogs.
Awww bless him, that's quite a good age for a dog with a...
Hey everyone,
I haven't posted on here for a long time, hope you're all well and keeping safe!
So Roxy has had a heart problem her whole life, since she was a baby she's had a heart murmur and a couple of years ago she was referred to a heart specialist who found that she has a heart condition...
