Just occasionally, almost-perfect dogs turn up in rescues, so don't rule this out
They do indeed. One of my friends fostered sight unseen a rescue from Eastern Europe. The dog came straight to her from the journey across Europe. She was very stressed and scared (understandably) for the first...
How is she now?
Kennel cough is very very contagious and if you let your dog drink from the communal water bowls you see around the place, the chances of them picking up the virus are high (and it's like human flu, many strains and evolves all the time).
I always carry my own water and bowl...
Sunburn isn't really a risk for Harri but his thick coat does mean he gets very hot. He is entirely self regulating though. When he gets uncomfortable he will voluntarily seek shade.
Not much left now here in glorious North Wales.
Come and see for yourselves why Lonely Planet says it's one of the top places to be!

Could be - I give Harri a few spoons of butternut squash ( easier to get than tinned pumpkin for me) on the rare occasion he gets a runny tummy. It seems to sort him out really quickly.
Glad everything seems better :)
Mum says she's really proud of me.
I've just passed the assessment to be a Pets as Therapy (PAT) dog! Now Mum just has to pass her part of the assessment.
I'm not sure what being a PAT dog is though. Mum says she thinks I'll enjoy it - and we had to give the tuna cake recipe to my assessor!

I saw those reviews too but we'd tried the herbal route and it didn't work long term. Harri had a horrific reaction to the oral medication and there is no antidote. The stuff was in his system poisoning him for at least 3 months if not longer. At least I felt I could remove the collar at the...
Hello there - have you tried Homepage - Secret World Wildlife Rescue This was one of my favourite charities when I was down Taunton way. I'm just afraid it may be a bit far from you.
I'm really lucky as I have miles of footpaths locally I can take so we can ring the changes constantly (even if we just do a walk backwards). Harri loves his familiar walks but it's me that gets bored so we do travel. I can do a walk about once a week... He's a stopper and sniffer so our usual...
I used Sudocrem on Harri when he had a sore rash on his tummy( vet agreed). Worked a treat and much cheaper than the prescription soothing creams.
It cleared up as soon as he left it alone and hasn't recurred so the cause remains a bit of a mystery.
Mum and Dad are looking very puzzled. That horrid long line is all broken and the bit which has the clip for my harness is missing so it can't be used. Isn't that a shame?
Me? I'm saying nothing.....
