My terriers and lurchers lived and worked together with ferrets. I'd take the ferrets for a walk with the dogs, they'd be playing chase together. It's funny watching a ferret chasing a lurcher.
My old girl eats what she wants,as done for a number of years now. She's had half a tin of creamed rice pudding for her breakfast, some stew and dumplings just now. She'll have some of her normal food later on. I do feed little but more often, she gets fed four times a day so her stomach doesn't...
Don't worry about it, I've worked fulltime all my life and managed to have dogs. Yep I've made sacrifices for the dogs but it's all worked out good along the way. You will get people who say you can't leave dogs for more than four hours, which is a load of rubbish.
This is what my old girl as got,she was 15 years old when I found the first lump. I took the decision not to operate on her due to her age. My vet was perfectly happy with my decision to let nature run it's course. Three and a half years later she's still here and kicking. In my circle of...
Yes she's maintained it all throughout her life. If there was a charging rhino she'd stand her ground, then side step it at the last second, turn and be on it.
This one I've got now I spent just over a hour watching her and the other 4 pups before I picked the little rat bag. She wasn't the biggest nor was she the strongest. What she did have was attitude, she wouldn't back down from any of the others. I also watched some videos of her mum working on...
I think she needs a bit more bulk on her for her age, what is she 14 weeks old. I wouldn't want the ribs showing at that age. I'm not having a pop at you because I know what problems you are having.
Hang in there, terriers can try the patience of a saint at times, even at a young age.
I'm lucky I've got over a 100 years worth of knowledge under my belt. Handed down from my grandad, my dad and what ive learnt. You may find that things change once you can get him out. So dont beat yourself...
My dogs sort of name themselves,I 'll pick a name after three or four days.
One was a live wire so he was called Sparky.
A lurcher called Whizz.. leave it to your imagination how I came up with that one.
A terrier called smiler because she was all teeth.
It was only last week I was watching Rossi win his first 500cc gp at Donington on YouTube. Now them 500cc 2strokes were evil machines, don't think today's riders would get past turn two on them things. No traction control,no anti wheelie, they would chew em up and spit em off.
It is possible to train them,I've had them retrieving to my hand at 14/15 weeks old. Recall, retrieve and release, but it's all done within puppy play. So it is possible but I am experienced training working dogs. For me the best thing you could work on is recall with a lurcher. Anything that can...
