two days is crazy early to start worrying about failure. Take some deep breaths. He's a baby/new to the household. give him (and YOU) an excuse to mess up every so often.

Bax is a special case but it took me over 3 YEARS to fully potty train him. You got time. ;)

probably a poodle. im not fond of them but i am smart, high strung, affectionate with strangers, and a bit neurotic. i also have crazy hair.

missing the puppy pad. he didnt use them for ages but now our walks are shorter cause he doesn't tolerate cold or snow well so hes not fully emptying the tank. also barking. hes gotten LEAGUES better but if he barks once per day thats once to many times imho.

never had an issue with this but speaking as someone from physical therapy: if you cant get low get them to go high. call them up on a couch or a chair if you have a little guy that needs looking after.

i dont do puppys. anything young is right out for me. beyond that if it likes to snooze, doesn't need much excersise and LOVES people i'm game.

Bax LOVES chase. he knows the tradign game really well but he'll play keep away till t he cows come home

Bax's jam is socks, second only to underwear. He's the biggest sock thief in the world and loves nothing better than flinging them around. He's very good about trading them when i ask for them back. @Rhythmpig i was told by people on this forum that i would fail if i tried to adopt because i work an 8 hr job and cant drive home to check every four hrs. if shelters have requirements liek that no wonder they're full. i dont have a single coworker that drives home to check on their (bought)...

bought because my dad was terrified id end up with a "broken" dog if i rescued. so i bought.... and ended up with a VERY broken dog. I love bax but i 100% beleive if id gotten a rescue id have ended up with less work and a better dog.

speaking of diapers make sure your just getting the belly band ones if its just urinary incontinence. they didn't work very well for bax because of his shape but he tolerated them MUCH better than the full diaper.

frozen kongs were life savers for me. i used peanutbutter or tuna fish and had a rotating stable of frozen ones.

I once had someone on this forum tell me that a "1-2 mile walk should be a 1-2 hour walk" and i had to express confusion because in my world those are the same thigns. bax takes FOREVER.

Oh absolutly @Free spirit i get where your coming from. And i respect where you went with your dog. I had a similar experience with my dog and i got jumped by people who thought i wasnt positive enough to even AFTER everything id tried. So nothing but love and respect coming from me <3
