I’m getting less fit Judy as Lily doesn’t want to go far now, thought of getting her a buggy so we could go for long walks but think I’d feel silly pushing a dog round the common :D we thought the same about an oldie , had the continence bit ;) and then we’d be in the same situation we are now...
That’s quite spooky as I was just about to ask how old is too old to take on a puppy  Lily is coming up 11 this year and I don’t feel old enough ( 68) to be without a dog :) My hubby really wants another spaniel because he misses Molly ( our girl we lost 7 months ago) so much and I...
Guess if you’re willing to spend a fortune there might be something that works! Wouldn’t help with dogs that are stolen as the b*****ds would just remove it from the collar or harness
Oh that is heartbreaking Judy, feel so sad for the owner :( phones can be tracked so can’t see why something can’t be fitted to a collar or harness. Would be great for dogs that tend to wander off . I’m so thankful I’ve never had a dog that has got lost or gone missing , must be the most awful...
What an amazing age for Amy! Sad when they start to get to the age where things don’t work as they should do :( I would really be inclined to give her any food she really enjoys, I lost my Springer through kidney failure but she was only 9 years old, also became incontinent . Vet prescribed...
:D:D Extremely hard work Finsky ! But worth it , throw the four ponies into the mix plus cats I wonder now how I coped with it all ! Lily is more than enough for me these days  I’d have another ‘Lily’ as she’s so easy ( apart from the eating probs) but you just can’t guarantee it
We had our first Springer many years ago, when we lost him we brought an Old English Sheepdog...then another to keep him company, extremely hard work to look after. Used to show them but too much unpleasantness in the show world so gave up. Lost one at 11 years old and ,as you do, brought...
Doing really well thanks Jo  had first poo last night since Tuesday  was getting a bit concerned but all good now :) not eating a great deal but that’s normal for Lily! Going for little walks , does get tired but with the virus and her age she’s coping ok. Just relieved she’s on...
Have food issues with my terrier .....won’t eat dog food out of a bowl or off the floor :D
What does he have for his dinner ? Do you feed him at 8pm because he won’t eat earlier or because it fits in with your lifestyle?
Oh my goodness , I feel for you so much, fingers crossed things will get better, having one Springer is a challenge ( been there :p) but two youngsters....very brave :D have you anyone you can share your problems with? Or are you doing it all on your own? :(
As Judy says , the sickness will pass...
If you google dog virus Teddy it tells you how many cases there are out there, more in certain areas than others. We’re in Surrey and there’s been quite a few cases here, makes them so poorly , get to the vet straight away if you see any signs of continual sickness ( Lily was being sick every 10...
They are so funny! :D It was lovely seeing Lily eat, just tried again with some lamb but no way will she have any. When Molly was here she had competition, now there’s nothing to fight for
How old is your eldest one? I would love to have a consistent eater :)
Could well be the hormones...
Lily doesn’t do proper meals Finsky :D, when we lost our Springer 7 months ago we could hardly get her to eat at all, took 3 months before she really ate anything as she was so sad and lonely :( will hardly touch dog food even now so we have to get down her what we can, every day is a task to...
