I don't have anything to add but I do have a question. If somebody breaks into your car to let your dog out and they get bitten by the dog, who would be at fault? It rarely happens but when I have to leave the dog in the car I just put a sign up with my number.
If her tail is dangling at a downward angle it sounds like limber tail, though normally larger dogs like Labs and Dobes get this as a result of mild trauma to the lower back or tail. Vets prescribe anti-inflammatories for it.
Not too sure, definitely going to be a little dog. I'd be inclined to say border terrier/Yorkshire terrier by her looks/behaviour at the minute, but her mum looks like a chihuahua cross so she's likely a good old mutt :D
We've gone with an Irish theme as we assume she was born in an Irish household due to where she was found. We liked Caoimhe (Keeva) and Bailey but decided on Clover.
I don't have my dogs insured, I just put money aside in a separate bank account.
My dog isn't prone to serious injury or accident or health issues so this is a better way for me, maybe I'd insure a dog that was more likely to have health problems. Kay's been to the vet for three separate...
Hope everyone's well! Haven't been about much lately, I've recently changed jobs and have been a bit busy. My partner and I took Kay to visit my mum last week, and of course her not-so-new puppy Tansy (and my old dog Star). She's getting big!
I found a photo of when Kay was just a...
Thanks all, appreciate it! new suggestions have been messaged to her. Siri is nice and unusual, and fits! I like Luna and Sapphire too. Nova was something my partner suggested which I thought suited her, we've been suggesting loads but mum's fussy.
She asked for something unusual...
My Mum just got herself a little girl puppy, possibly whippet/jack Russell. She's been getting called "Pup" for the last five days and she needs a name, but mum's had a mental block and can't find anything to suit her. Help her out? She's got an older dog called Star and was looking for names...
Whenever she smells like wet dog to be honest. She's had one bath in the last year and a half. I wipe her down with a wetwipe after muddy walks. Once she's dried and had a once over with a brush, she's good as new.
Kay's 7ish walks a day are varied in length but always across the fields. I take the ball out with us for 3 of the walks and will walk about throwing the ball for half hour a time, and the rest of the walks are just so she can go to the toilet so the ball stays at home. The toilet breaks last...
I've always been in a situation where I never needed to go away from home to exercise my dogs, except for when I briefly lived in a town.
Because of where I live and the fact I have no garden atm, Kay gets about 7 walks a day, always across the fields (I am literally surrounded by fields and...
I'm just wondering how often everyone walks their dogs? On days you don't walk, how do you stimulate them? Are walks something you see as hugely important or are they something you can put off until another day?
I was just chatting to my neighbour who doesn't walk her dogs and it got me...
