I have no problem with people having phones and answering them, it's when you see them leave the house talking on the phone take the dog for a walk and still on it when they get home that's what gets me cross. I went out to the shops out for nearly an hour saw this person many times in the area...
Well I've seen it all now, this morning I was in the front garden and heard a car braking hard, looked up to see the driver jumping out of his car shouting at a man on phone, his dog on flexi lead on other side of the road, the owner hadn't even noticed his dog had crossed the road. Just dread...
I use a collar
I also use a Dogmatic head collar, mainly because Dillon is so big and strong, there is a loop under his chin which can be held to give a little more control if needed.
I will not feed raw
I will not use a Flexi lead
Amber was a dream puppy/dog ( I always said if she was human she'd be the little girl who like playing with Barbie dolls), Dillon was a nightmare teenager if I'd had him first I doubt I'd ever have another dog, but his grown in to the most loving and caring dog we could ever have wished for.
Congratulations.
A new puppy can be overwhelming for you all and the puppy. Are you getting a crate for your puppy if not it might be an idea, it will be a place where she can retreat to away from the children when she needs a safe place to go, remember she just a baby and will be missing her...
I'm sitting here watching the TV and just heard a dog barking, looked out the window and a man is walking two Cocker Spaniels each on a flexi leads, both leads out full held in one hand and a mobile phone in the other hand. not watching his dogs at all. What planet are these people come from.
But shouldn't you always be aware for what your dog is doing, especially when training it to walk nicely.
I found the dogmatic easy to use and it didn't cause any problems for Dillon who is a very big, strong, can be stubborn and powerful dog.
I found how ever well they are fitted they can still move up to the eye. I had one for Amber and it was always moving, thank goodness we found Dogmatic when we had Dillon easy to use never moves and last well.
I'm a good owner because....from the minute I carried him in the front door, we have become his slaves, he gets the very best of everything and is spoilt rotten and is loved so much.
I wouldn't use a Halti as they can ride up by the eyes but I do use a Dogmatic head collar they are very gentle round the dogs head, very easy to keep your dog under control without causing him/her any stress
I would have him checked over by your vet, but it does sound like the terrible teens to me.
Dillon was that bad at one stage I wanted to send him back to his breeder, taking him to training made him worse and behaviorist was waste of money, so we struggled on, on our own, now we have the most...
Yes you are right but from what I can see 9 out of 10 owners have no idea how to use them safely, it's as if they are walking down the road and the dog is nothing to do with them.
You have confused me, having a training lead attached to both collar and harness makes it the almost same length as a normal lead, we do the same only with a normal collar and a head collar not a harness.
