Yes, thank you both but have tried exactly that - putting sudocrem on as we go out of the door. Now and then, something will work for a couple of days and then we’re back to square one. Just so frustrating
When it’s muddy, Taz gets sore between her toes. I’ve tried all sorts - washing paws in shampoo, salt, plain water, not washing paws, mushers secret wax, antiseptic creams and powders, steroid spray from the vet. I usually end up having her on antibiotics because nothing works.
My lastest try...
It’s worth a try! I know another itchy dog it’s worked wonders for. It took a couple of months to kick in. I give taz a 1000mg capsule a day - she weighs 23kg. She’s also raw fed and grain free.
My lurcher was the same and we spent a fortune with skin vets. The breakthrough came when I started her on daily oil of evening primrose and eliminated fish oil and fish from her diet. It was a lot of trial and error and she was three before we had it sorted.
Good luck
Taz eats rabbit poo all the time - at least it’s organic. I don’t let her eat horse poo if I can help it, because it potentially could have wormer deposits.
