Advice Needed - Toilet Trained Dog Nighttime Pooping

My dog had a terrible runny tum as a pup until I discovered she is allergic to lots, including grain and fish. She’s been fine on a raw diet since. If she gets the occasional upset - usually from sneaking off to eat something on a walk or another dog walker giving her a treat without asking me...

Help! My dogs skin is red raw from scratching constantly!

Have you considered feeding raw? As you’ve probably seen on lots of previous posts for various problems, a balanced, raw diet seems to be the food to solve so many things. My dog has allergies and my skin vet has given me steroid spray for her toes in the past. It was just one spray a day and...

Hey, I'm new & have something to share!

Hello! I think it’s a great idea! We go to Wales or the West Country every summer and often find that although we’re in the countryside, there’s not actually anywhere to let your dog off. Mostly we end up on beaches because of this reason.

    Bath time indeed!!

When Taz has been chasing and playing and ends up hot, she willl just go and wallow like a hippo in the coolest liquid she can find. This can range from disgusting, smelly ditches to gloopy mud puddles. If the nice clear stream is nearest, she’ll lay down in that - much nicer ;)

Deciding on euthanasia due to behaviour :(

Are you living in England? If so I know a brilliant rescue place in the south east. The lady takes in dogs like this all the time. She is very strict and particular about finding he right home. And while they’re with her they live as a pack and have lots of space to play and run (arces). Only...

    A question of etiquette

:p:p:p:D Oh don’t get me wrong, I don’t yell or talk horribly to my dog. She’s my best friend after all and I love her more than words can say. It’s just a little thing my friend and I laugh about between us. :D

    A question of etiquette

Talking of things people say to their dogs - I have a friend who talks to her dogs politely as if they are small children. ie ‘Drop the ball please Mungo’ ‘Please will you come here Poppet’. ‘Please don’t do that!’ Bless her :)

    Treats for sensitive tummies?

I have had big problems with my dog’s allergies, I seem to have it sorted now - touchwood. Fish and fish oil are one of her triggers, so I have to look carefully at ingredients because a lot of treats and kibble have fish oil in them. I mainly use natural treats dried meat now and you can’t go...

    Puppy toilet troubles!

You could try sprinkling some activated charcoal granules on his food. This helped my pup when she had problems. Don’t use it for too long because it can interfere with the absorption of vitamins.

    Puppy toilet troubles!

My dog was like this as a pup. I cut out anything with grain and put her on a raw diet. For chews and treats, she has dried pure meats and sinew, ears trachea etc. Since then, we now have two small poos a day, no gas and a happy dog :)

    Bleeding claws

No, sorry Rosanne I don’t, although I’m considering getting a set for winter for my dog because she suffers with itchy feet when it’s wet. If anyone can recommend any please, that would be helpful! :)

My dog killed a fox! Dont know what to do!

My dog cornered a fox and got bitten on her lip. I took her straight to the vet who wasn’t bothered in the slightest! :( I think the vet will just tell you to watch your dog and take him back if he seems unwell - which you no doubt would do anyway.

    Toilet training advice

This may be helpful - when my dog was a pup I used to leave the previous day’s poo so she associated where she should be doing it. It was hard to leave it and not pick up immediately but it’s not forever and she learnt within a couple of days. Good luck :)

I love Bostons:) Oh yes he has to play, he sounds lovely. Have you thought about a boot? That’s the only thing that comes to mind at the moment.
