NO dog should be told off for coming back. (why should he come back just to get put on the lead and have a good telling off). He has just done as you asked, he has come back and lay down (which is just what you said) and then he got a good telling off for doing this! Poor chap. Why should he...
It appears that some of the Natures Menu products have minced bone in and some products do not. You may have to check the ingredients in the product before purchasing. Not all of their products are sold as "Complete", but don't worry.
You will get to know which products to buy and which not to...
Could I first suggest that you stop all of the extra oils and supplements that you may be giving her and try a complete change of diet.
All of these Hypoallergenic foods are not a guarantee, but that they may be less likely to cause a problem.
My suggestion, and this is only a suggestion...
I sort of see what you are saying but what about the various breeds/types of wild cats there are. Their sizes vary from a small Scottish wild cat to the large cats like the Tiger or Lion and many other various wild sizes. They don't have a different raw menu for little or large.
Smaller...
In the animal kingdom as mentioned by @Hemlock the young of any raw feeding animal has the same products as it's elders.
Our wild carnivores have survived and evolved without any human or large commercial companies interference.
I too start puppies at 2-3 weeks of age on a diet the same as...
Sorry but this will be of no help to you.
We too had a show type Cocker Spaniel ( girl ) who would sometimes poo at night but never wetted at night. This was a long time ago, before 1987, we would never have rushed off to the vet and probably would never have thought about feeding times either...
A ball in a sock is loved by all of ours, or a sock rolled up and shoved down inside another sock and knotted is another great favourite. They all wash well too.
Raw products are not aloud all over the house, the girls are restricted to the kitchen which has an easy clean tilled floor until all eating is finished ( bones included )
We never tell any of the girls off for scavenging but if the item is brought to us we do take it away and say thank you/good girl..
Hubby always said that our beloved "Sika" RIP would never go hungry, as she was always managing to find something stinky to eat
You could add some kibble as a mixer biscuit if you wish, the two mixed together are ok. However, I would suggest that you use a good quality kibble such as "Millies Wolfheart", this does mix well with the raw product.
I think that the raw meat and fresh vegetables would be worth a try while...
I have used raw for over 40 years, I don't measure fixed amounts but they do get about 1/2 lb each per day, some a little more some a little less depending on their body condition. ours do scavenge and will find what seems to us absolute rubbish, very old and rotten. Their digestive systems...
As mentioned by @JoanneF, diet can contribute to poorly ears and yeast.
Try a grain free food "Millies Wolfheart" is one of the best grain free kibbles or if possible a raw diet. There are often good results and no expensive vet bills, it can cause no harm to try, but do give any trial a fair...
@Hemlock, it must be something to do with our age, oh how I hate this old age thing. At least we still have our dogs and 2 donkeys to keep us motivated. I did find the beating/shooting season a bit difficult this year but the dogs need their country sports in the winter, they are good for us.;)
Oh Judy, no one could could be more technologically impaired than me . It will probably be much easier and less frustrating if I don't try to do it again. Memory is a great thing to have and I have never had a good memory, so I would not remember what I had done to make it work in the first...
By @Flobo
If the main page keeps the "Latest" bit and New post bits with easy access I think us technologically impaired would be happy to do that, do you agree excuseme
My reply is YESI think that would be fine.
I have just lost my last reply!! Grrr
These changes are fine for those who grew up with computers at school. I grew up not even being aloud to have a calculator in the classroom (maybe they had not long been invented ! ) Haa haa. We had to use our own brains to work things out, and we learnt our...
