90% of the walks I go on, people ask me if Teddy is a red setter... probably because he's red and a very large and leggy cocker. I also get a lot of people asking if he's a cross or sprocker.

I did pay a £200 deposit for Ted. But this was after I'd seen him. I think deposits are normal but I definitely think it's unreasonable to expect someone to pay it for a dog they haven't met. And I wouldn't pay a deposit for a puppy I hadn't seen. In hindsight, I would've waited for a KC...

The kids have started school. I eat more chocolate because I need the extra insulation I'm looking forward to Halloween, Bonfire Night and Christmas. I LOVE the festivities this time of year.

On a side note. How cute is my Mum's new dog. Poor Rosie passed away in April. She had cancer and degenerated quite quickly :( so my Mum has rehomed little Maia. She is a pom x poodle and very cute.

I haven't rode for years but when my daughter had her first lesson a few months ago, I walked on the yard and was like, ahhhh! Nostalgic, comforting smell of horses. Ted smells like warm laundry. Not of washing powder or anything just like warm cotton sheets. My sister in laws bulldog stinks...

I don't particularly like other people's children :p

Quick update: we have mlved from Scotland back to England. Ted has matured in to the loveliest dog we could wish for. All the hard puppy months and training have paid off. He's brilliant in the house, if he has to be left while I'm at work, with the children, off the lead etc. Etc. Unfortunately...
