Help! My dogs skin is red raw from scratching constantly!

Spikes allergy test was for everything I wasn’t offered anything else and it came back he was deathly (vets words) allergic to fleas and dust mites, all types of grasses and other things I can’t remember off the top of my head. I think he had a two week course of steroids and antibiotics then...

Sleeping with dog while having asthma/allergies

If you have asthma and allergy to dogs it may not be the best for you that your dog sleeps in your bedroom. Says she with a dog allergy whose two dogs sleep in the same room lol. I have found over time that my allergies have become less troublesome. Before dogs I couldn’t touch one without being...

Tucking your dog in at night.

This is Spikes favourite place to sleep, in a bed or on the settee, as long as he’s as close as he can get he’s happy:rolleyes:

Hi, awwww poor Ruby, lets hope that with all the things the vet can do for her she starts to pick up, although from the sound of it the food will do a good job on her as well x

Should puppies be given water at night

How old is your pup. No maybe we don’t need water or wake up in the night to go to the toilet but if your pup is very young then like a baby it cannot get all the water it may need during the day and will also need to go to toilet in the night, the pups bladder will not be big enough to hold a...

What is your dog's worst habit?

    Reinforce?

I would try it for him, throw them around a bit so he knows he can play with them and maybe play finding games with them, Roxy loves ‘finding’ things. Spike bless him is just baffled, why put in effort if it’s not food lol

    Reinforce?

Roxy loves playing with socks too, clean, dirty and anyone’s. After she’s had a good shake and throw around of them she will drop when asked. No one cares in our house she does the same with slippers too. My grandson thinks it hilarious lol.

Why did you get your dog?

After our 15 years old beloved collie cross passed away we said no more dogs. We lasted a very long 10 months. We saw some beautiful Jack Russell pups for sale and so Roxy came home with us. The breeder said oh thank god i’ll be glad to see the back of her, saw my face then said laughingly, I’m...

    What to do at bedtime

It could be that he’s very clever and knows that by looking at you pathetically you will pick him up and put him on the bed. I speak from experience lol Spike is a master of the pathetic I can’t do it look. But pop him to the vets if you are worried x

    Hi all!

JudyN I have to do the same with Roxy when I see a boxer, I just thought it was her being a little madam because Spike is fine with them, didn’t realise it was their faces and stance, which she would see as a challenge.

    Bit of a Rant

In our house it was AA said as in Apple loudly . For children and dogs. My son and daughter hated it growing up, said it went right through them but it stopped them in their tracks when they were about to do something silly or dangerous, same with all the dogs we have had, it was probably the...
