I've just had a post on Facebook from Lynda Watson (Shenace) that all NZ Whippet people are safe and accounted for. Jackie Howell (Beesholme) did post though, that Tina Harding (Courtwood) had lost all her precious whippet figurines, which is quite unfortunate.
