    Pet insurance advice please?

Just insure the dog and dont tell him if he is that against it, I have mine insured as I know how expensive things cost and I NEVER want to be in a position where I have to euthanase my pet because I cant afford treatment,

Brothers being aggressive to other dogs

I admire the fact you realise there is a problem and you are prepared to put the effort in to fixing it, lots of other people would ignore it or get rid of the dogs so lots of luck to you. hope you get the results you want :luck:

What you up to this weekend?

I'm on call for work all weekend so these plans may change, going horse racing today, taking dogs racing tomorrow, its freezing and the damn white stuff keeps falling from the sky here so I'm thinking maybe I will end up with Hypothermia from being outside so much. Oh and can't even eat...

Had my dog chipped 1 month ago

I cannot feel either of my dogs microchips, but I know they are there as I check them regularly, dont worry if you cannot feel them or if you can, depends on the dog, skin, coat, where it was placed etc

Hungry pup and diarrhea with coccidiosis and campylobacter

Always remember if you feel that you were fobbed off you can change vets, Longterm diarrhoea is not good tho as it can cause the gut to stop absorbing nutrients properly as the food is passing through so quickly, My boy had untreated Giardia for so long that his weight dropped from 14kgs to...

    Rhodesian ridgeback puppy

What a gorgeous puppy, I can't help giggling to myself thinking give that baby a couple of weeks and I bet he's a cheeky, bouncy, ball of fun that you will be wishing would go to bed and lie quietly so you can have 5 minutes of peace (w00t) All the best with him he is beautiful, :luck: I...

    Dog constantly licking his butt.

What did you worm him with? Sad but true is that the majority of wormers you can buy from pet shops do absolutely nothing to remove worms from your dog resulting in people thinking they are doing the right thing for their dogs wasting money. He may just be licking the area as it can be painful...

    Dog Food Recommendations

Try and steer clear of Beef flavour, stick with Chicken or Fish, in my experience these result in much less wind issues!!

Hungry pup and diarrhea with coccidiosis and campylobacter

I'd take a poo sample back to the vets for testing before I changed anything, my pup came to me with Giardia and had to be treated 3 times over 6 months to finally get rid of it once and for all, a long standing infection can take a long time to get rid of so please consider this before you...

Is My Rescue Dog older than I thought?

hate to disagree with you lurcherman but my dealings with the Dogs Trust have made me vow never to deal with or donate to them EVER!! I cannot comment on RSPCA as I dont know enough about them, I live in Scotland and have to say all dealings I've had with SSPCA through work and my personal life...

I have 4 dogs 1unknow keeps weting on bed how do I stop this

Dont let them on your bed. I know this does not help you figure out which dog is wetting or why, but if your bed is the only place it happens then it is easily stopped.

Dealing with severe allergies in a rescue dog

I saw you said you have been to a specialist already, has Oreo been fully allergy tested with skin scrapes and allergens injected under the skin to see what she reacts to? Thats the route I am probably going to go down with my youngster if his skin flares up red and angry this summer again. Ive...

    Dog bed recommendation

My boys like a duvet as they both like to hide in bed so its argos single duvets and cheap duvet covers for the car and cages that are easy to wash and dry, and they do share a double feather duvet on the leather sofa at bed time!!
