Well I am unsure on how to maintain the raw diet but in past 2 weeks have gave her the tins of food twice a week, the Aldi own brand Cesar type. with about 10 tiny bits of dry food to stop her scoffing it in seconds and on those days and the day after she normally is buzzing with energy but also...
My BC is now 8 months old, I still have I think around a month of dry food left depending on how I use it and if I give her bigger portions, a relative suggested to give her more food as even though her weight seems just about right shes still slim and it may stop puppy wanting food 24/7...
Updating a little, I thought I had the worst of it over as for about 2 weeks she only had the rare accident then in past few days had a few again though I will admit I still had that fake turf mat by door to stairs, I removed that last night to test if she would hold it in, seemed ok to start as...
Puppy has a habit of since I got her picking up and swallowing everything on the floor especially stones/pebbles originally if I was quick enough I would use a treat and then chuck the stone away.
Now shes older and I take her on a lot of walks especially through wooded areas and places where...
Shes been fine since, apart from taking about 2 days to recover she was sleeping a lot and since then her toilet pattern has been great she went 4 days without an accident (on her indoor mat) and even then it was my fault as I took her out and she did a wee and wanted to come in and rather than...
She was ill Monday night, friend was taking care of her as I was at work and not sure exact reasons why she was ill, friend accidently left her in my living room and when I came in I noticed this overpowering horrible smell, couldn't see evidence of wees and not right away did I see slight...
Well when I WFH, she just sleeps in my arms all day bar the 30-45 minute walk on my break and the rest of my lunchtime. and the toilet breaks for her in between so gets less attention then which is why I hug her.
Walks are one on one as I hate using my phone, we do stop if another dog walker...
Well I should of wrote, the door is closed but doesn't always "click" shut so can be pushed open if not closed properly, normally the only open door is kitchen door and that is in hall, and the hall access is via a closed living room door.
In mornings I normally keep the bedroom door slightly...
I posted on my other thread, yes I notice zoomies or the current incarnation of them are often when she hasn't pooped in a long time i.e hours and poops shortly after having one.
In the morning, of course especially pre breakfast she is so calm and obedient, any thing I ask of her i.e sit/down...
Since the thread is a little active again I will post a bit of an update, last 2/3 weeks have been strange I did change her food as old stuff I bulk bought ran out and using treats more to control her behaviour i.e to get her to stay sitting down, the only constant is that she spaces out her...
Shes doing ok, still having accidents both in daytime and night but less often, is getting very vocal though.
I changed her food a little as ran out of the expensive dry food and got a even more expensive one but bulk it a little with about 1/3 to half of cheap stuff that way it will last...
Ok so since yesterday I have been giving her food 30 minutes earlier and this has made her evening poop a little earlier too so I'd say thats a good thing as means she is more likely to want to do her wee right before bed rather than around 12.30 at night.
I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow...
Well I more meant how do I deal with her barking? it now seems to be every evening and she stands by the hall door and stops barking if I open it only for her to go into kitchen and want to jump up and look for food.
For her toilet training I have tried being less reactive to her when I am in...
Shes 24 weeks old now, she still doesn't hold it in during the night though even when I take her out she rarely actually does a pee or poop or if she does its like a split second wee and a tiny poop like smaller than a meatball.
Her zoomies in past few days have changed from running about a lot...
An update, she calmed down a few days into the New Year, she still has her zoomies but less common like I said before.
She was doing great with not biting feet but kinda backtracked since Monday though that may be related to teething, as on Wednesday one of her baby teeth came out when she was...
Both and when she drinks she seems unable to hold it in for very long i.e can be a few minutes later even if its just a drizzle.
Not been spayed.
She has also at same time as not going becoming more crazy and biting and barking for attention even after walks that are at LEAST 30 minutes she...
Shes 5 months old now, thinking of changing her diet as shes still having accidents, she has a dry diet still and goes at least once during night and I feed her 3 times a day.
A month back I gave her bones from butchers 2 times and both times she had a bad tummy after (though she loved them)...
Thanks for that, trainer did say before to teach impulse control which I was doing by waiting a few sceonds before giving her food/treats when giving them to her.
Shes doing ok, trying to teach her to not bite feet, had some success already, been feeding her when I am barefoot and standing...
What I do is a few short or 1 long walk a day, sometimes (but doing it more often again) in morning using her breakfast to train her basics like sit/down, leave it and just started doing it without shoes on as she bites bare feet or feet in slippers.
Lunchtime I give her dinner in a dog...
She has been hit and miss the last few days, not sure if its weather related as I noticed in past she is more calm on rainy days.
Today I was working from home and on phone which she normally goes crazy especially in afternoon, whilst not perfect she at one point was dozing in my arms whilst I...
