can any one tell me if whippets suffer from any genetic eye defects please?.... most of the info i find on whippets say that whippets have no defects generally....but are there any eye problems known in racing lines particularly?
thanks
toatally agree!
i have dealt with some very nasty dogs in my life...the worst being a 13 stone rottie that i had to restrain whilst being pts ( it had just taken a childs arm off ) :( .... physically hurting any dog would have never helped me... in fact with the wrong dog it could have put me...
i will NEVER agree that hitting a dog is appropriate....but i dont agree with hitting kids either :(
but everyone has a different way and each to their own...its just my opinion
if they are not showing as truly dominant/submissive be careful as getting it wrong could make things worse.... it is a really awful situation to be in but there are many experts out there.. find the best you can ....best of luck :huggles:
as many have read on my thread...my little monty has 2 retained testicles....one in his groin and one in his abdomen....he is sterile and will be castrated on thursday :luck:
i bought him as a pet....the breeders i bought him from knew he was neither going to be shown or bred from...he was...
... we always suggested that the submissive bitch should be spayed ...the theory is to create a bigger gap of personality to combat competition between them...makin them equal is not the answer....
im afraid 2 bitches that fight often can be a problem that is only solved by rehoming one of them...
