Of course and I totally agree but sometimes I think everyone is very quick to jump in and say ‘no you shouldn’t have a dog’ if that person says they have a job or live in a flat.
I lived in a third floor flat and raised a dog perfectly well.
I’m not saying that you shouldn’t give your opinions but for me there is a way of doing it. why should this person be banned from the forum for asking a question you don’t like? Or for asking it elsewhere?
If they keep going back and forth with replies you don’t like then why are people rising...
Just to add...
Sounds like this person has no idea about dogs at all so maybe everyone needs to be a little less on the defence with their responses - most people here are dog owners who have had dogs for years but that isn’t the case for everyone and so there may be questions where you think...
Thank you @Ari_RR and @Mayblossom
This is how sad it’s become but I rang Oliver today to tell him that I was actually able to pick Dens poo up in a poo bag!!! It’s been diarrhoea since October (we’ve been taking big water bottles everywhere we go for any accidents)
Hello all,
Firstly thank you all so much for your support throughout.
So we got the results today. He has severe inflammatory bowel disease.
Sounds terrifying but it’s sounds manageable.
Vet thinks he had a bug originally which has caused this issue to occur and has only gotten worse due to...
Hello @Mark Lyon and welcome to the forum!
I’m not sure if this will make a difference but I know James wellbelolved has been taken over by another company. They’ve kept the name but they’ve changed the recipe and it’s higher in rice content, less protein.
I only found this out after some...
It’s most likely because the images show as ‘too large’ to post? If so, you just need to type in free image compressor on google and you can compress the image then it will allow you to post.
To bore you with details it’s all to do with server space. You’re limited to what server space you can...
Thanks @JudyN @Mayblossom
Oliver’s sister is friends with the leading dog specialist at a big vets near us (you may have heard of it, Langford) and she’s been very kind in speaking to us.
She said it sounds like he has a bowl disease (all the signs full small intestine, low B12 etc) and that...
I think it all depends on the type of owner.
If you are responsible when your dog is in season then no issue. Or if you have an intact male who you can control then great but I think there are far too many owners that have no clue about this. It’s actually quite worrying. I often see a young...
We’ve literally tried everything. Small portions etc
He’s even gone off food that hasn’t made him sick but maybe it’s been going so long he doesn’t trust anything.
I’ve tried him with chicken broth but I’ve left it down for him. Can understand why he doesn’t want to eat! And that makes me feel a bit better @JudyN knowing that.
They’ve shed no light at all @Mayblossom - we are none the wiser why this is all happening which is so frustrating. Even if it’s...
Hi @Mayblossom
Aw thank you, that means a lot.
We picked him up at 1 and he’s now at home. We have 3 lots of tablets to give him but because he still won’t eat we’ll have to make him swallow them :-(
Although he’s on pain meds I think he’s still feeling it, he went upstairs and I found him...
He’s had to stay in overnight @Mayblossom - the vet said it was more complicated than he had imagined because Den is deep chested and I think him not being in peak condition it’s hit him harder.
I’d rather he be there where they can give him pain relief etc just hoping they can pump him full of...
