You should be proud of Gypsy. Her behaviour really was top notch compared to my idiots.
Phoebe and Pagan both ran well but were sods at the end. Pepa ran well and sort of came back. Patton was given his first ever run (minimum distance) and he decided that it was play time at the end. The event...
Well said, Amanda.
Those that know me are well aware that I don't post a lot on here because of all the C*** and now find myself feeling ashamed that i've been sucked into it.
Sarah & Paul; you and your hounds are a credit to the Lurcher community and regardless of what's been, being and gonna...
So!
If I've got this right, you think Lurcherworld are a bunch of cheats but you still travelled from Sussex to Raby Castle?
ONLY A ROUND TRIP OF 600 MILES.
Now that is REALLY clever???
PMSL
Not dumb at all.
Phoebe, the blue below, feels the cold but the others are pretty immune. We put a coat on her for normal walks and after a run in the winter. Also she hates the rain so sometimes it's the only way we can get her out of the house.
Now that all the usual positive/ negative batter about the racing has died down I thought I'd post a link to our photos.
Not lurcher heavy, more of just our familys weekend experience with friends at our first Pride of the Peaks.

A new team will always have teething problems. This was my first visit to this show that had always had rave reviews.
I will definately be going again regardless.
You are definately right about the "wet" bit though. I think...
I'll second that.
They put the Petrol Lure Machine under so much pressure that it shook itself to bits. I had bits of string holding it together and just as the last run finished the line feeder fell off completely :sweating:
Although I never got to slip my own dogs during the 1000 Guineas I believe I had one of the best views of the racing on the day.
Stood at 3/4 distance the racing was nothing but spectacular. I just wish I could have been wearing one of those fandangled videocam hats. It would have made some...
3.30pm Friday set off from Manchester for Broadlands. 245 mile journey towing a caravan should be there by 8.30pm.
Decide on M5 route due to road works on M42.
That was the plan.
1st disaster - 40 mile traffic jam M5 going nowhere.
2nd - Electric fan now decides to stop working temp gauge in...
No Pics, just letting you know that our 3 couch potatoes stuck thier heads out of the door, saw the rain, ran upstairs and duly snuggled down on Jades bed
