Thanks for making me laugh! I think the walking belt might be a good idea for a weaker person perhaps, but I have horses, so am reasonably strong in the arms and centre balance - horses are far easier to handle when they flip! (rarely thankfully!) I'm just worried about being pulled over and...
So, Robin - ! When he is good he is very, very, good, and when he is bad - blinking nightmare!
Robin (Russian Wolf hound nearly 6 months old 'Borzoi'). So he is big, strong, athletic and full of fun! Oh, did I forget highly intelligent and self opinionated?
Seems to have a 'switch', can...
There is some great advise on here and definate confirmation AGAINST out dated advise :) It's a baby! Any trauma WILL have both a physical, and an emotional impact and generally for the rest of the pups life. Remember it did not choose to be born, it has not chosen to be 'owned' it does not...
That is horrific! Can you inform the RSPCA = not that I am a fan, far from it! However this might just be encrouching on the Animal Welfare Act, and the RSPCA 5 freedoms.
Might be worth getting a full blood screen (not just a blood screen! One that will show the minerals and vitamins) They are less readily available in the UK sadly we are a little backwards here!
Hi, just jumping in on the liver disease bit! Milk Thistle is good for supporting and detoxing the liver, which is generally good at regenerating itsself. :)
OH! great big challenge! :) Puppies are WORSE than having a baby! You can at least put a baby down and it won't move! Best of luck, keeping it safe will be your hardest chore! Beware the tummy upset it will be far more serious in a pup than a human of any age! :(
Man maketh the beast! :) Of course we are all wired with the DNA of family so that will have a huge impact on the personality traits. We all learn from our experiences so that is another impacting factor. We are taught by our peers and parents, family and friends. Animals are no different -...
I'm on my first dog in 38 years so don't take what I whaffle on about too seriously, however, I am guessing they are like humans and all other animals really, it is NOT unusual to take a dislike to another - just by gut feeling! If it is not unfriendly to all dogs then clearly it has possibly...
Hi, I only give a short course of pro-biotic (yogurt ) for a few days, just to kick start the system. Don't know what others do of course :) Do hope you get sorted :)
5 months now. He had a very long journey 10.5 hours and had been great for the first 8 hours, then I guess he went into panic mode, would not eat or drink and I had to drip some water into him! It was dreadfully hot too and I had windows open and AC on as best as I could. However, on the...
What a lot of worry for you! My suggestion is as others have said above, raw food, just be careful around the children and take the best care you can. I am a nurse so understand your concerns, but like everything in life, we can only do the best we can (with the knowledge we have at the time)...
