I get 'oh you've got your hands full' almost every day.
Once got, when I only had Tess 'look at that bat-eared monkey dog' (that one stuck).
Lots about them being skinny.
Also have great fun telling people they are all lurchers appart from Esme, and very few people believe me.
I was photographing a lovely Dachsie for a portrait today and the owners also had these gorgeous birds, please could someone tell me what breeds they are?
Is this one an orpington maybe?
Peggy is apparently a bit better today. She is able to pee by herself now, she needs to be held to do it I think but still an improvement.
Jayne has more details of the injury now. Apparently there is a cushion of fluid between the disks and the vertebrae, and when sighthounds run very fast...
I'm so sorry John, Storm is such a special lad and you have done so much for him. He's so lucky to have you to look after him. :huggles: :huggles: :huggles: :huggles: :huggles: :huggles: :huggles: :huggles: :huggles:
Spoken to Jayne. The MRI scan has shown an 'explosive disc injury'. Have to say I'm not entirely sure what that is. The vet says she'll stay in for a few days for them to keep an eye on her, then home and TLC and see how it progresses. :luck:
I have to say she's the bravest little whippet...
Oh Fiona I am so sorry, how horrible for you that you weren't there. How lucky for Moggie that it was so wonderfully loving and peaceful at the end.
RIP Moggie
Nana had one very like that- it was a grass seed that had worked it's way into her foot between the toes. We soaked her foot in warm salty water for five minutes 3 times a day for 4/5 days and it worked its way out.
