Haha! I'm sure his new family will appreciate his little boyhood, they have no children but a male Pekingese x pug, maybe he's practicing in preparation to show who's boss.
Well it appears he's just a happy hormonal boy! No traces of bacteria in his urine or bloat. Vet said because he's experiencing a different feeling from it which he enjoys, he realises he can do it on demand and the novelty should soon wear off.
Thank you, any response is better than none!
He's using the puppy pads as normal with no blood. His penis is light pink in colour with no obvious visible sore spots, nor does he appear in any pain vocally at least.
I've taken a video and he's had 4 in the length of the 28 seconds of recording.
One of the males in the litter had his first erection at 7w+2d. Now he's 8w+1d and he's forever having them - to the point he will have one every 1-3 minutes out of the pen and doesn't play with the others. He's sitting down, has a little rub of his bum (and testis too?) on the floor and then a...
Had a prognosis yesterday for one of my pups (4w) with aspiration pneumonia. It was originally passed off as congestion for the previous 6 days, so I purchased a humidifier, saline spray and steaming nebuliser to aid the symptoms and hopefully ease them off, it didn't work.
After a vague...
Mum goes to them herself when she cleans - if any latch on she'll sit for 5 mins for a quick feed. Or she'll lay with them when she wants to feed. They barely cry so I'd say they're content.
She won't stay with them constantly and has been spending a lot of time with us too. If she sees one of...
My litter is 16 days old and for the past 2 days they've been struck by a certain 1 or 2 puppies suckling on them creating little bruises or 'love bites' I guess. Mum goes in to feed them approx every 2 hours for 20-25 minutes unless she falls asleep whilst feeding, they're gaining weight. It...
Mine absolutely love these. They would normally shred plushy ones within minutes of getting their paws on it. This actually makes it into their bed to sleep with and carried around the house (apologies if the pic takes up all of your screen  ) £2.99 from Home Bargains. They do in fact...
Thank you. She's doing really well, eating sleeping and doing her cleaning duties. Milk is slowly coming in too, we tried to feed on her other side - she can fit 4 nicely or 5 with paws flying everywhere. Alternate and top up with bottle. Pups didn't settle properly until 9:05am, so I've had no...
She's doing well, a little shakey to begin with. She's drinking and just eaten. First feed was by bottle, she's beginning to allow them to latch onto her until she feels uncomfortable, they can't access all teats atm, bottle for back up. They've cried an awful lot to be honest, trying to keep...
She's coming around from the anaesthetic! Thankfully.
7 healthy pups have been delivered, 4 girls and 3 boys. No cleft pallettes so they're going to try latch them on for their first feed when she's fully awake, but some may require being fed at home.
I was told it was a wise decision to go...
After the assessment, they gave the option of intervention with taking her bloods, calcium, xray, ultrasound and then oxytocin but only giving her 20 mins to produce a pup or a c-section. We've opted for the c-section. And she should be ready to collect in 1-1.5 hours.
He is indeed, I've got his personal OOH phone number. My mentor hasn't been much help which is a shame.
Hope so, I'm supposed to be at work at 6am but looks like I'll be calling in if they've not all arrived by 4am  partner will take over duties if I go in.
Same! :D I do; we've been getting to thoroughly know around 8-9 potential owners since January in case any back out, narrowed down from approx 30 on the list.
We'll be keeping one regardless of gender but not specifically pick of the litter, unless one stands out to us!
She had a loose stool early hours this morning, which turned normal after breakfast and now she's having yellow stools! Local vet isn't open on weekends so hopefully she hold out until Monday otherwise it's via emergency contact.
Yeah she isn't fond of the doppler static sounds via the speaker...
