Hi Colin & Tina
I can find 'Lady in White' by her KC name in the coursing records
Top puppy 93/4 & top bitch 94/5, 95/6 this record wound put her in the Coursing Hall of Fame
but can find no ref to Chyton Quelle Chance, white bitch 19 7/8" in the Racing records
Thanks for the info any way...
Hi Judy
I have her dob as 1/10/66
but if she was a 66 pup she would have been 4 at the show
when I know she was less than 2 ie dob 68
Thanks for the correct dob had it wrong since 1985. another error found.
Interesting point for you Bertha - a Laguna bitch (Laguna Lysandra) was put to a Franciscan dog (Franciscan Genista) and the result was RCh Hideaway top 16lber a little after, but Hideaway was born around the time of the Picture.
Barbara - or should I call you Dr Watson
A good bit of detective work - but Judy had beaten you all with the right answer.
I have another picture so will set the question after the weekend.
Thanks for taking part I hope you didn't loose too much sleep.
Rob...
WELL DONE Judy yes it is Reg and Cis Francis's Poly
She was a good scratch runner, under 20" but born too early in the History of Racing ie 1966 some 44 years ago.
I cam across this picture in my search for Photos of old racers.
In the Picture Poly has just won the bitch section of the Racing...
May be!
One thing for sure when this white bitch was born England were Football World Champions
Rooney or Hurst ?? sorry wrong sport
The date of this show is before Mexico and the Bobby Moore jewellery incident!
Hi Tina & Colin
You made me think?
But no this is from way back before coloured photography - you are both too young to remember B&W photos I sure.
The Lady in White or White Lady was a good choice but was only 22lbs, sister of RCh Picketty Witch both bred by Joyce Keable.
I remember a...
Hi Bertha
I fairly sure she was not a CH, I think I would know as she was a racer and a courser (and the photo shows her at a Whippet Club Show).
Keep thinking!
Hi Jenny the bitch is not Roanbar but it is many years ago.
This bitch was a racer, and I know this bitch was sucessful in the Ring - this photo is of her on the table.
She also coursed, under rules.
Hi Mark - not fishing for clues?
Owner of the Bitch was well know, also her husband.
Nothing to do with any book!
Look at the picture is was not taken yesterday - how long ago?
I'm so glad this is making people think!!!
Hi Ian
Getting worried about you - wasn't White Warrior a dog?
The picture is of a 28lbs White Bitch
Some time ago I agree but had 'well known' owner.
Hi All
Very diappointed that the people in the last photo were recognised soon easy.
This one in a whole order of magnitude harder - so I give you some clues.
Yes its a B&W photo
The Bitch was a winner on the Tracks and in the rings (and I think in the field)
28lbs
Any ideas???
Well Done Judy - it is Sonny Cutler with the Earlswood Dogs.
And I thought this would get people thinking!!
I'll have to look back in the file for some more old pics.
the Devil - Viv I didn't realise that you were racing at that time - tell me - if you were what were the names of...
