When I joined back in July I posted a photo of Rupert at 5 1/2 months old - very cute. Yesterday I took some photos of him - he's roughly a year old now. Hasn't he grown up
The puppies were two weeks old on Tuesday. Today I offered them some slop made from raw mince and gravy. I only gave them a little and one pup had much more than the others. My vet suggested just liquidizing puppy food or chicken wings. I'm not overly keen raw chicken though... he didn't mention...
It is Molly's first litter. There are three dogs and one bitch - the black and tan which I'm going to keep. I've no idea about the coats really. The brindle fur on the solid brindle dog and the brindle and white dog looks to be 'mat' in texture .... not sure what that means really.
Molly is 5/8 Bedlington and 3/8 Lakeland. The sire is a Whippet/Bedlington x Jack Russell. The pups, therefore, are mostly Bedlington Terrier (43.75%). The rest is as follows - 1/4 Jack Russell, 18.75% Lakeland and 12.50% Whippet. More terrier than lurcher. I think the brindle boy and the...
My bitch has just had pups and I'm not really sure if they've got enough whippet blood in them to be described as lurchers. They are only 1/8th Whippet, the rest being predominantly Bedlington with Jack russell and Lakeland too. How ought I to advertise them - as lurchers or just as Beddie crosses?
Not sure. I think brindle boy and brindle patches may do. The brindle fur looks slightly mat in texture. Rupert is rough coated, but Molly's hair is so soft  She reminds me of a furry muppet
Photos at last :)
These were taken last night. They're not that clear as I didn't like to get in too close - she's really starting to chill out now and I don't want to spoil it.
There are four pups. Three boys - one white with brindle patches, one white with dark brown/black patches and a...
Yay! Molly got out of her basket to relieve herself - not in the garden but on news paper I put down. She is also much less watchful and growlie this afternoon and I haven't seen her tremble either. :)
Thanks everyone. She is in a quite room - only me and my 19 year old daughter have been in since she went into labour. We just pop in every hour or so during the day to check-up, feed her and clear up (if she'll let us). I guess we do stare at the pups though :b
This morning I have another...
