    Lurchers In Limerick Need Help!

Lily, Aesop & the others wring my heart and wish I could stop the cruelty that led to their condition but doubt that can be achieved so can only appeal to doglovers who have spare doggy accessories to post them to LAW & if there is anyone who organises jumble sales etc on here praps they could...

    Scrapping

Poor Retriever :( I had a retriever as my first dog and she was so gentle and good natured I'm not surprised you are upset at her being attacked. Maybe if you spay your whippet it will reduce the aggression or try some Evening Primrose oil first as that might soothe her if she's getting PMT?

    Meet My New Baby

Willow is a very pretty little girlie  and after all she's been thru lately is bound to make a few puddles especially after being shut in cage at vets but expect she'll soon get the hang of peeing etc outside if you take her out regularly and make a fool of yourself saying 'good wees -...

Willow is a lovely name and well suited to a slender little whippety person :D Hope you manage to post pics (when you have some) cos I'm totally hopeless at it :b

    Hi ~ Newbie Here.

My little Lupin is half whippy and is the snuggliest most affectionate doglet imaginable :D . She likes to curl up behind my knees at night and is never far from my side. I'm sure you'll enjoy sleeping/walking/living with your lovely new girlie and only dispute will be whose bed she slithers...

Has Anyone Experience Of This ?

Don't have any personal pyo experience either but wish her a speedy recovery :luck: I always worry myself sick when my animals are unwell. Re anaesthetic my vet used half usual dose of pre med + human anaesthetic given slowly over 2 minutes (as running dogs metabolise it too quickly...

    Bedlington X Whippet Pup Wanted

Have a look on Admart, Adpost or in Countrymans Weekly. There's bound to be some in rescues so worth looking on www.dogpages.org.uk & www.lurcher.org altho don't think the latter have any whippetxbeddie pups atm but there are other pups listed.

    Hi ~ Newbie Here.

Flexi leads can be dangerous with a running dog like a whippy unless attached to harness rather than collar as their liitle necks are delicate and could do serious damage if brought up short from full pelt at end of lead. I suggest you find your lunge line or acquire well fitting harness. She...

    Hi ~ Newbie Here.

I should just ask the vet if it will be ok. I'm sure they will be pleased that you are adopting her and not mind a visit at all as long as it fits in with their schedule and your children are quiet and don't upset any sick animals in other cages. You will have to keep her on lead for quite a...

    Hey People

I gather they have VERY selective hearing when it comes to recall :D but are such beautiful graceful hounds you can easily forgive them :D There are a lot of saluki x owners on www.lurcher.org and the Advice section may come in handy when you have your own! :- "

    Some People Are Morons

Just read yesterday that some criminally irresponsible people/murderers left their Newfie & another dog in their car for 4 HOURS last Wednesday  (hottest day since 1911) while they were in Garden Centre. The poor Newfie died :( & the other dog was in a bad way. The RSPCA are...

    Puppy Farming

OMG I knew puppy farms were places to avoid but I didn't know they were THAT bad  :( . Many Tears in Carmarthen take in a lot of ex breeding bitches and I can now see why Sylvia rescues as many as posssible. Looking at those poor pups heading for Asia makes me feel sick along with all...

    Zephyr The Amazing....

Squirrel catcher! Going round the wood on Roundway yesterday morning Zef suddenly did a double pounce on a steep bank and then shot down the hill into trees and after a minute or 2 started barking! (doesn't normally bark when out) He returned a minute later with a squirrel hanging out of his...

    Rats, Cats And Whippets

Coco is gorgeous! I think that oriental cats like Burmese & Siamese look & sound so different to moggies that normal cat chasing doglets would think twice about tackling one? I'm hoping to get another Siamese boy one day to redress the balance of my household as my poor moggy girls are...
