Personally I prefer to buy products (not just dog food) which have not been tested on innocent animals causing them distress, pain and death.

You have to look at the ingredients to see how good a complete dog food is. It should have a high % of protein and not contain animal derivatives, colouring, sugar or be bulked up with cereal. Royal Canin is made by Pedigree Petfoods and I certainly don't like their basic range. They also make...

I am so pleased to hear she is on steroids and feeling better. Please don't worry about her picking at food - in a few days you will have the opposite problem as the steroids will give her an appetite like you wouldn't believe! She will eat everything in sight, steal and hunt. You will struggle...

This sounds so like my bitch - my vet thought it was a closed pyo. Eventually she was referred to the vet school where they immediately diagnosed SRMA. Good luck with your girlie - keeping everything crossed.
