I am considering switching to a more raw based diet but worry how you can be sure of the quality of the meat. I am naturally suspicious and worry about 'animal grade' meat  How can you be sure that the meat you give them hasn't been pumped full of antibiotics and vaccines, and the...
Thanks everyone :)) Will definitely be looking into Fish4dogs as I've seen it mentioned a few times lately.
Eve, I think you are right about Gro being a con artist  Carrots for him when he whinges. He's a big dog (almost 22inches and from working lines on his Dad's side) and I...
Grover is nearly two and has put a bit of weight on. Emmy is my recent addition, a stray who is pretty skinny and needs to add weight (but not get to Grover's size, obviously) (w00t) I can see all her ribs and her spine is like a dinosaur's back :(
Grover currently has JW and a bit of meat...
Mine do this very occasionally as well. Sounds like they've got a feather stuck up their nose or something and they need to cough or sneeze. I always just think they've sniffed up dust or something while they've been mooching with their nose too close to the ground!
Hello
I'm currently fostering a whippet bitch, (possibly with some saluki in the mix) who was found wandering around St Helens, Merseyside yesterday and picked up by the warden. She was due to be sent to a PTS kennel to serve her seven days but I happened to be in the right place at the right...

Gorgeous pics, Annie
As to the fella who commented on Jim's leg... ..more polite replies would be to feign surprise and say 'Oh my God, he hasn't has he? How do you think that happened?' or less polite: look straight at him and say 'Yes and you've got a crap boat/ face'
Love...
I would email them/ write to them attaching a couple of guides to rat-keeping (think the RSPCA and other places have them on their website for download). Explain how upset you were and how intelligent rats are and that they need toys and things to explore. Also say you were very close to calling...
Unfortunately, it's the ''having a husband who doesn't like chaos'' thing, though if the owner agreed to give her up I would go and get her. He did say our next would be a scruffy lurcher but he thought that would be in ten years ;)
Seriously, if anyone does get a reply I can get to Crewe in...
I live in Cheshire and was all set to run and get her but it says she's worked and we have a cat - not that she would have much time for chasing him, with four day old pups. What the hell is the owner thinking? I hope she doesn't go to someone who will just sell her and the pups on for profit :(
My whippets are male litter mates, fed the same amount of food and have exactly the same exercise but one is a kg and a half heavier than the other. Ros is about 16kg, Grover around 17.5 - bear in mind they are very tall whippets at 21.5 inches! Roscoe looks exactly the right size, Grover...
I have NO idea how I missed all this  (w00t)
Just searched your name on a whim to see if you had posted anything and found this fabulous thread! Can't believe I joked about him catching you a phessie and then he did. Good ol' Dashers!
He does look like he is having a fantastic time...
Hopefully we can put your mind at rest about the whippet hurting the borders. A whippet brought up with terriers will not think that the terriers are little bunnies  I have known many ex-racing greyhounds who might, but that's because they've never known of any other breed of dog...
Another jealous one here  That is a gorgeous litter and a gorgeous girly. I'm still waiting for someone to give me the little black boy, who as you may know I've already called Isaac in my head (w00t)
