She looks amazingly settled in such a short time - and how fab that she's had a really positive impact on the dynamics of your pack - being leader can be stressful for a dog that's not really up to it so I think Lilly will be much happier having that pressure taken off. :))
So glad she is okay. Horrid decision to have to make but you had to look at the bigger picture and it will be better for her in the long run. Wishing her a speedy recovery :))
Welcome home, Julie - must've tested your optimism a bit though! We only escaped it all by a week - got back from Canada just a few days before it all kicked off. Feel very, very lucky - my son has Asperger's and it would not have been funny at all to have so much uncertainty on his first big...
Wonderful news - glad she has settled in so quickly :)) Your courier sounds like an angel!
She does look like a full whippie - my two are half work (sire) / half show (dam)whippets and are pretty big - 22". Their mum is 21" so as Hula says, perhaps it's just that she's from working stock. She...
Fully support the difficult decision that Scruples have had to make here. None of us have endless pockets and rescues are exactly the same. We can't make money appear just becasue we want to, or because we see heartbreaking situations in front of us. It would be very irresponsible for Scruples...
Merseyside RGT found a foster family but very sadly the owners had already had their girl put to sleep, despite saying they had until Easter weekend. I'm gutted and am wondering which vet would do this if it's treatable :( :(
How on earth can people give up after two days?? What was their excuse, or can't you say? What a waste of everyone's time, and poor Sidney must be all confused. :(
Well, it's their loss - he'll be someone's best friend soon enough :luck:
Even if what you are suggesting is true (and I think you are being too kind/ naive about the way sighthounds are treated by many in Ireland) to be in this state she would have to be missing for weeks - so why hasn't the loving owner been looking for her??? People throw whippets away there, they...
Hope Fred heals quickly. My Roscoe has a wonky bit on the end of his tail which I assume must have happened when he was very tiny as we have had him since he was 8 weeks old and it just grew that way!
Oh dear! I have been thinking of turning my house into a pet hotel for a while, but had no idea I should insure against broken ankles! I bet she feels she's more than earned her money this week
Oh they are absolutely beautiful! I love their colours and they just look so healthy and content  I have sworn that my next one (when allowed by OH!) will be a rescue but those babies are so, so tempting! And it's not like we replaced the chewed door and skirting boards/ carpet/...
Yes, the more people who see it, the better :))
I go on holiday on Monday so would love to have some good news before then or I'll be worried while I'm away :(
Hello everyone
I've just heard from one of the volunteers with Merseyside Retired Greyhound Trust who I also volunteer for. Our manager has put out a desperate plea to help a greyhound girl. We would normally find room at our kennels but for the reasons below this is not appropriate for this...
