Trying rubbing a little bit of liquid paraffin into your hands then give the dog a good rub down... brush the coat backward then give him a good groom. In a few days you will notice a difference.
This is a heartbreaking situation but i must agree with Stormy... they should never have been left. Im a mother of 3 boys whom i wouldnt leave alone for a minute unattended... I would never be put Maddy's parents position as i know where my boys are at all times. Hopes & prayers for her safe...

I had my gall bladder removed 17 years ago ~ it was meant to keyhole surgery but ended up open surgery, had to stay in hospital for a week & minimal work on my return home which was difficult as my son was only 10 months old at the time...

This may seem bias but they are so laid back, i have never had any problems with any of mine, i have 2 cats at home whom they dont bother but saying that will chase my neighbours if he ventures into my garden. You may find they are always good when it comes to grooming them, teeth care, lead...
