no pressure then jac
its a tough one personally you need to have the draw factor in the first place, so people will come and attend in the first place. its not all about money but at the end of the day money talks if its there people come. everyone wants to win the big one its natural...
dont know how you can create a competition with dogs that will struggle to win races, theres the few ideas maiden, time events maybe the way forward, or you can give a dog a rating maybe like the horses or greyhounds, spo that a poor dog can work through the grades i dont really know catering...
there is some amazing animals won this over the years and will continue to do so,
i know of the prizes that you give out every year chris witch is great but it would be nice to have some prizemoney with it if people like vickys idea to add 50p on every dog that enters a top ten open it would...

i am not saying it is completely out dated as it would be fantastic to win it, but it just needs a few tweeks here and there. but that is just my opinion.
i understand what you are saying chris about the elite being catered for and not the losers, but lets be honest isnt that what we all want...
a maiden is a good idea but personally i dont think would last, on average in the north east it averaged from 20 - 40 dogs the odd open had a bit more. dont know how it would be run but i persume when you win a maiden you would then run in the normal open again. it wouldnt take too long with the...
at the present time now with the cost of everything so high, folk arent going to travel around to opens here and there knowing that there isnt going to be many dogs and winning a fiver or summit, we need summit in place where something is worth winning (if you no what i mean) everyone wants to...
personally things like that can be sorted if/when the idea takes off, if people think lyndons idea is a good one which i do, clubs have to aswell,
idea is brilliant hope someone wants to work with the idea and it takes off im sure any help would be welcome
from what i can grasp of this idea is that all clubs run their opens as normal, but the selected opens that are chosen (elite) will gain their own elite points. payout will be what ever the club do as normal. its a good idea its a bit like the trainers championship in the greyhounds where...
i like it the way it is at the moment just there is too many opens to pick up points at, i think having 2 separate top tens, will take the shine of winning the top ten. hopefully next year it will be sorted, wasnt too long ago mochara won the top ten just scoring at only the big opens.
