Oh Fiona I am so SO sorry to hear this ((((((HUGS))))))
Virtually the same thing happened exactly a year ago yesterday to my darling Diva - she pulled the lead out of my hand and ran after a rabbit, disappeared off hunting (at 11pm!!!) and was killed on the road the next day :( For months...
Don't know how to tell you this after me being SO excited over the past five weeks or so but I can't have the whippet pups :(
Our neighbour downstairs - when she heard that we were getting pups got rather sniffy and said that if she heard even so much as a squeak from them she would report...
I used to love relaxing at the end of the day with Tina and Diva crashed out asleep on their beds.....such a satisfying feeling knowing that the dogs have had a good day with enough exercise to keep them happy and chilled out
Ooooh I like these! VERY pretty and festive :D I might just do something like this for the pups' crate....though, no doubt, they'll move onto OUR bed once they are housetrained
Neil and I were only yesterday trying to work out HOW we are going to fit two adults, two whippets AND...
Awww bit TOO far for me too.....nowt ever seems to happen this far north
Hoping to take my two hooligans to training club....should be fun  I used to do obedience with my first dog, a crossbreed calld Lady, so will be starting the pups' training as soon as I get them but...
There's a club just up the road from us that does obedience, agility and working trials (bit of everything I think) and I'm thinking about taking my two once they are old enough.....even just doing basic pet obedience and getting them socialised amongst other dogs will do them good as Neil and I...
There's also a stunning blue & white boy but hubby wants a girl  But perhaps he might fall in love with the other boy as the pups grow ;)
Yes, I'm BURSTING with excitement....but also terrified too in case I'm not a good enough owner to them :b Silly I know cos I've had dogs...
He's GORGEOUS!!!
Have you bought him to show? I've always wanted to but never had the time....or been in jobs which give me weekends off to get to shows grrrr  Shown my dogs in various exemption/pet/charity shows before though and it IS very addictive
Look...
Ooooh you'll DEFINITELY get piccies! LOTS OF 'EM!!!
1st pic is my little girlie and the 2nd is my wee boy - he's the dark brindle next to his mum's toes  Both pics when they were just a day or three old :)
Love the first flying pic - my Tina used to do that over pools of water on Boulmer beach and the spring in her was amazing! I used to think seriously about taking her to agility
They are ALL gorgeous pics though and the condition your dogs are in - WOW!!!!!! I absolutely...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCARLETT xxxxx
Oooh she certainly is a beautiful girl  Looks like butter wouldn't melt 'n' all that  But then...the naughtiest ones always do!!! o:)
Awwwww she's a wee beauty  And SO lovely to see how quickly she and your other girls have all settled in together :)
Don't think you've showed us enough piccies tho'.....WE NEED MORE!!!!!!
Awwwwwwwww Broody Overload!!!!!!! :b Hard to imagine my two, who are just one week old today, looking anything like these wee beauties in just six weeks' time  Cannot wait to meet them!!!!!!!
Cannot choose a favourite in the pups above.....they are ALL so utterly...
I';m a bit like you whippets_rule - not really a person who HAS loads of friends  I was always the odd one out at school and in High School I was into my dog training (did obedience with my mongrel Lady) and birdwatching. Had absolutely no interest in boys, make up, pop music.....so...
