I took dylan to a fenced square park. I good acre if not more. He ran the perimeter 15 times full pelt. He is almost 6mths old. I have a 30ft garden but even that is not long enough. I say this as the OP refers to a 6ft run!!. That isnt right.

    Advice on whippet going awol...

We have just started to let Dylan off the lead in a fenced off park. All sides can be seen. Interestingly, if we turn and shout bye he runs after us. If however there is another dog to play with, he will ignore us. Dylan circles the field at spee. As we know, they dont have the stamina to...

Is this big enough for whippet

Sorry to say , i have to agree with afore mentioned comments. A whippet is not a breed condusive to an outdoor kennel . I only have to hold dylans leg in my hand to see how incredibly thin his skin is. This breed is extremely vulnerable. Its good you have posed the question though im thinking...

    Being sick sometimes after feeding

5mth old Dylan has bouts of regurgitating his food. Not every time but its not unusual. He eats extremely quickly. We do use one of those delay bowls. Helps a bit but hasnt stopped the feeding frenzy. I know whippets are known to have sensitive stomachs. We feed him tinned puppy food. We...
