A lovely sunny day for whippet racing everywhere. At the South Cotswolds the track was looking much better having been cut and with the recent rain there was plenty of give in the ground. All the whippets gave a good display off their respective handicap marks and along with their owners...
Hi Darcia, you can put me down for either line judging or paddock for the first 4 groups up to the not exceeding 23lbs in all rounds.
Glad I wasn't the only one who forgot to put the dog's weight down :'( I've just looked at the entry form again online and think it might be because the form...

Hi Andrew,
No political intent meant in my post, just fact, and you're right that the split has no bearing on low levels of club racing, but surely you have to admit that it has had serious implications to many of the clubs opens, so much so, in fact, that some cannot afford to hold an open any...
What you have to remember about the championship events is that they are run by two organisations which at best will avoid each others dates. Neither recognises the other which is why some racers have two passports for each dog. Each organisation has a large percentage of racers who only race...
How awful must that be :( Hope that Lesley and family and all others affected by these storms will soon be sorted out and back to normal :luck: :luck: :luck:
Hope all goes well with the pregnancy and delivery :luck: :luck: :luck: Nice time of year to produce a litter too as you've got all the spring and summer ahead of you for when they start getting active! :))
OK - I have just had a look on the WCRA unofficial website and abra-cadabra (w00t) the 3rd Champs is now 10th August. Thanks for pointing this out to us Carol and thanks to whoever amended it. As I said previously it is important for lots of us that we know the dates of all the Opens and...
This is all very confusing for those of us who want the dates early in order to make plans. There are no dates for the 2014 Championships on either the NPWRA website or the Whippet Club website (racing section).
The only dates available are as Trish has pointed out on the 'Unofficial' WCRA...
We'll be coming too for trials as didn't book in early enough for the racing :- and probably Melissa and Paul coming too.
Unfortunately can't do nibbles as we are both sticking to our diet after seriously pigging out all summer long!
Can do the raffle thing though
Nice to have you back taking these fantastic pictures at the Champs Chris - especially the almost scary but absolutely enthralling bend pictures (best place also to watch the races) which show how locked on the whippets are to the lure - makes my heart race just looking at them, and I didn't...
Ah so sweet. Congratulations to clever Cully so tiny and producing 6!!! :flowers:
Now then Gill what will it be - black or red? you just won't know which one to pick I reckon :huggles:
I think you've made a good choice there Jane to have one of Mystify Me's pups!
Interestingly Ginny thought Almaz looked very much like Arrow.
This dog pup below named "Pringle" one of Melissa's two does look very much like Quiver, I think, in the head, but not bodywise as such.
Nice to see some pictures of some of the boys from the litter. They all look gorgeous and very much alike.
Buster's head is the image of my pup Almaz the only girl in the litter and they may well run in the same weight group as she is just under 25lb so with her racing jacket on covering up her...
