    Puppy needs help!

Hi, I'm not a fan of puppy pads. By putting puppy pads all around the house, really, you're telling Alfie that you want him to 'go' in the house, not outside. I know your bitches wee and poop outside, but Alfie has never been taught to do that really. He's been taught to go indoors. If I...

Doberman puppy countdown - opinions and advice needed!

How lovely, a new baby. You must be really excited. I don't know about Churchill or LV, but when I insured Rosie, I shopped around and found Tesco to be about the best. They have an excellent reputation for paying without fuss also, should you make a claim. I doubt you'll get a car harness to...

    Jack russell advice required

Glad to hear things are going so well. Certainly, a few sessions with a behaviourist or trainer should be a good thing. A good command to teach is the "Watch" one, where you ask the dog to look at you, usually by holding a treat up at chest level. That could help if Russell is focusing on...

    Overweight dog

Very true, he would be better on a tinned meat than cheap kibble, as most tinned meats are 78% water! Some of the good quality kibbles with a high meat content are horribly expensive, but you can buy one called Harringtons, which is less than £3 for a good sized bag, (one bag lasts our Staffy...

Dog started peeing on the floor at night :(( help!

Hi, If she's producing milk, she's definitely having a phantom pregnancy and she does need to see your vet. Is she drinking more than usual? Often, bitches having a phantom pregnancy will and this could be the cause of her weeing overnight. Also, difficult as it is, when she has weed, the...

I need someone to talk to - Help with pregnant rescue dog

Hi, Your vet is right, it is unusual for a Jack Russell to have problems during whelping, so do try not to worry. I'm new here, but everyone is so helpful and kind and I will certainly do my best to help too if you have any concerns or worries. Would love to hear the results of the scan. Susan x
