I forgot about the car! OMG! What a state they get into. Sparkling windows hide most of it, it's only when the doors are opened that the full horror is exposed.
Ha ha! You are right about the sticky Welsh mud, particularly the orange stuff :o I do mine in the hall and then wash the hall floor!
Your two are gorgeous, aren't we lucky, I wish I could have half a dozen whippets, the photos of them in here are wonderful :D
It is hard work Amanda, roll on the days when we take them out with a spring in our step, get back home, take their collars and leads off and that is it :D
Seven dogs wow! I feel faint... two living rooms is the answer, perfect. Mine have kind of taken over the dining room, they sleep there but I fight the tide of wet mud in the porch if I can. :sweating:
There is a certain charm to a really sopping wet and muddy dog and coat isn't there, I met a chap with a lab this morning who took one look at Hugo and said "Lovely"!
Those towels look brilliant! Not for me though, Hugo would break his neck running around in one if given half a chance I'm sure...
That's such a good idea as there is just one to do, I don't need to do the whole shampoo thing, just rinse him off...will try that tomorrow...thank you!
Yes, especially with four whippets! If I could have a wish it would be an outdoor tap with warm water in it. Just to let you know that I was reading the site before getting up the nerve to post, and saw the line drawing of Oscar, how gorgeous was that, beautiful.
Just wondering how you manage to keep your dogs clean on these muddy days? I have just come back from the rugby fields thinking that it might be a good flat place for my two to have a clean run, and it was full of tempting huge shallow muddy puddles! Hugo loves water and steamed through as many...
I don't know much about whippet lineage, Carys is quirky, she makes me laugh on purpose! Did you start with one whippet? I would love lots of whippets, but must stick at two!
Thank you so much, they are my pride and joy and the family have to fit in around them:-) Penny looks fab in that action shot, I love that look that she has of flattened ears and a whippet smile, love it!
Hugo and Carys have been flat out on the sofa most of today stuffed with turkey, just a...
Thank you, I never get tired of looking at them and appreciating how graceful they are. Carys had been very well trained before I was entrusted with her and has her obedience medal and is used to the ring, but I am not! I took my courage in both hands and put her into a local show and she won...
Hi Kathy, Joey is beautiful, I can't believe that Hugo was that size not so long ago! Joey is a lovely colour, Hugo has white legs too, Carys is kind of half and half fawn and white down, not across, haha!
It's so good to be able to go on about them here, not only have I got the gentlest dogs...
