Hi Dawn, I unquestioningly put my whippets in coats when I first owned them cos it said to do it in all the whippet books I had.... thanks to you I have questionned their coat wearing and now only put them on when it's raining or we're likely to be doing a lot of standing around in the cold...

Dawn, in one of our chatroom chats of long ago, you once told me that you actually HAD got whippet coats having acquired them 'by default' - I never got to ask you the story behind that comment.... So come clean Dawn!!! tell us all the shock horror story of the Aphrael whippet coats... Smiling...

Thanks Mark - a very comprehensive answer! can you bear two more questions???? does it ever happen that the ferret doesn't come out of the hole AND do you eat the rabbits or feed them to the dogs? Aren't whippets fantastic! I loved your responses to that man with the '60lb of lard' labrador...

Thanks for the replies Mark and Terry.   I have no knowledge of this type of 'working' - do you put the ferrets down the rabbit hole to chase out the rabbits for the dogs to catch?

Thanks for the info Dawn - Ive just realised that Claire is offline for a while. How do you feel about others handling dogs.  I just get so nervous that both me and Ginger are quivering wrecks.  Perhaps someone else handling her is one way round this???

How is a whippet worked with a ferret?  Is the ferret ever mistakenly killed by the whippet? Just curious!! Rachel :)
