Wishing you luck. :luck:
Meantime I would strongly advise walking her on a lead so that she cannot jump up on strangers and controling her around the Grandchildren or her access too them..
to quote feefee's excellent post
in the meantime, as others have said, I would keep her on a lead or a...
I agree with both posts. You need to keep your puppy under control and teach her what is acceptable behaviour and what is not.
I have 1 super energetic whippet and 3 that are not. Toddy is the only hyper whippet I have ever had and I have had 12 whippets.
He does not jump up at strangers. He...
There are quite a lot of sheep and even more cattle on Orkney and to keep them in a lot of barbed wire.
Toddy is OK with sheep if they do not run so I was always careful to let him off at least 1 field away from sheep. This worked fine but there are also a lot of hares and the barbed wire was a...
We decided to holiday on Orkney this year and take the 3 younger whippets.
We had the most wonderful sunny holiday.
Toddy, Lilly and Daisy absolutely loved it and were perfect.
We stayed at Lennahowe Lodges on Loch Harray. The accommodation was fabulous.
The view from our accommodation...
Whippets Rule went through this last year and could probably give good advice.
Why don't you send a PM.
I am sure that she would be happy to offer some helpful advice. :luck:
It is lovely to see an increase in the number of photos being posted on k9 again.
I sometimes log into TWF but it is not the same somehow.
Glad to hear that some people only 'lurk' nowadays but have not gone altogether.
It is great to know that if help is needed, it will be offered or is only...
Brilliant photos
My lot are far too interested in sheep as well. It is a real shame as it rather dictates where we go for walks.
The dogs certainly looked to be having a great time.
Absolutely stunning photos of both the dogs and the bluebells.
Was it cold? I noticed that the dogs had their coats on.
It has been quite warm up here in Scotland even without much sun
Bluebells are one of my favourites and you have captured a glorious display
I am sorry to hear about Bailey's condition. At least he has seen a specalist and can recieve the correct treatment.
I am somewhat skeptical of regular vets (meaning not a cardiologist) diagnosing a sighthound with a murmur. Most vets are not used to listening to their hearts, which are...
I am really sorry to hear this
I hope that you can get things fixed quickly :luck:
These people make me really angry
If they can hack into the CIA website, what chance do we stand?
I am biased.
I would not have my ferocious little Daisy Dot  if were not for k9
Her owners asked for help on k9 as they could not cope with a new baby and her health condition.
They loved her to bits but were at their wits end.
Some members got together to help the owners and she...
I think a lot of folk are still there and use the forum but perhaps do not post as often.
Perhaps it is facebook :(
Hopefully, things will pick up agian and popularity tends to cycle
Thanks all
Will give the meaty lure a try with some short runs and see if it helps.
The main problem is the coursing by one dog of another.
Perhaps if I can create greater interest in the lure, the behaviour will stop.
Hi
More advice please
We have a couple of dogs at Lurecoursing that have more interest in chasing the other dogs rather than the lure.
They do chase rabbits so the hunting instinct is there but show no interest in the lure..
Can anyone offer advice on a possible solution?
I have suggested...
Flo & Stirling for me
What a fantastic litter. You must be really proud.
If the puppy pulling at the weed is Flo, it looks like you have a born lurecourser.
